Or at least free trade between sole proprietorships, worker cooperatives and consumer cooperative natural monopolies and maybe free movement but with Chinese being subject to what we might call a visa-free-workers' minimum wage that would be set higher than for Canadians citizens and permanent residents. In other words, any Chinese working in Canada without a work visa must earn a minimum wage that would apply to that class of worker which would be higher than for Canadians. This would thus limit them to higher-paid work and so make it difficult for unskilled Chinese to find work in Canada.

But “we should not act out of emotions and push North Korea into a dead end,” Mr. Putin said, according to dispatches from South Korean reporters. “We must act with calm and avoid steps that could raise tensions.”
His remarks came on the same day that the South Korean Defense Ministry said that the United States military planned to complete the deployment of an advanced missile-defense system in South Korea on Thursday.
The deployment of that system, the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, or Thaad, is vehemently opposed by China, which argues that it will exacerbate tensions with North Korea and could undermine China’s own nuclear deterrent by giving the United States another means to monitor its missiles.
In April, the United States installed the radar and two of the six interceptor-missile launchers of the Thaad battery on an abandoned hilltop golf course in Seongju, 135 miles southeast of Seoul, the capital. The battery became operational immediately.

Trump should try and learn the principle :
for every action *(including verbal) there is an equal reaction.

I don't think everyone understands the politics of the situation. I certainly don't, but I am smart enough to know that wiser, cooler heads than mine are looking after things. Let's break it down into two of the most far apart outcomes.
1. NK will cease to exist as a country. :smile:
The US is, as I type, chatting with China and Russia about the situation. Those three realize what the outcome will be should NK fire on anyone. They know exactly what military capability NK has - including their nuclear program and the reach of their ballistic missiles. One thing is for sure, I would be concerned more if I was China.
NK will force the hand. Like poker, NK will call and the others will be forced to play or fold. After the smoke clears, China will want a big say in what happens, which is fine. NK and China trade a lot, so after Kim Jong Un and his group are dead, China will take the lead to put the wheels back on the cart.
McArthur's ghost may scream, but China could conceivably annex NK. :lol:
2. Kim Jong Un and his advisors realize that they have gone too far, back off and things settle down. :roll:
This scenario has happened many times since 1953. NK whines, screams and threatens. Other countries throw them some money, food or sign agreements to shut them up for a while.

It would be prudent if China, Russia and the US formed a covert coalition of highly trained military troops to go into NK and take out Un, his advisors and senior military staff. The Russians and the US would have to find volunteers of Asian extraction if they wish to participate fully, but that shouldn't be a problem. At the same time, civilian agents with 22s have to start working inside the NK border.
Sound crazy? Like a movie maybe? As long as all the players are on board with it, things will proceed smoothly.
There is a marked difference between what is said or announced in public and what is actually happening. Tass, CNN and Xinhua report what they are given. While everyone here is arguing about what is right and wrong, and passing judgment on individuals or countries, the world continues to function...without your help or guidance. :lol:

China has the most to lose in this silliness. NK really is of no consequence. Not because of what the US or Russia is capable of doing, but rather, because of their big, red neighbour to the north. They do not like the disturbance in the Force. Disturb the balance and China will bite. They will have no choice.
They do not want the US anywhere near their border. They do not want nukes flying around anywhere near their border.
