The two brain sets actually contemplate each other. The conservative brain wants
to change nothing but they do provide insight into the value of something. On the
other hand, the Liberals are a party of some progress. They don't make long term
plans though, unlike the conservatives who don't plan beyond the next election.
Yes the Liberals are more progressive, and in the last two decades they handle
debt and deficit better than the Tories. The fundamental problem is the Conservatives
spent too many years as the opposition party therefore they behave like the opposition
even when they are government. The Liberals behave like the governing party even
when they are in opposition, and they sometimes appear arrogant.
The New Democrats are the most progressive of all parties, although they don't plan
far enough in advance financially. Tommy Douglas and Romanow were the only two
New Democrats that understood, it is not the cost of starting a program it is financing
it fifteen years or more out into the future.
I don't vote for fear, and mistrust and the social conservative view because the world
is ever changing and the issues of yesterday belong to history. To suggest however
that ones brain is linked to the party they prefer is a stretch to say the least.
