As people get older they become more conservative and begin to believe in a god....reality begins to slip away.
Btw, Ralph Klien has been diagnosed with dementia.
That's interesting. What Kanai and his colleagues were looking at was the correlated brain structures according to political orientation in young adults. What they didn't find was whether political affiliation or brain structure were the cause of the other.
Perhaps now, your voting pattern or rather lack of a pattern is related to your upbringing. If you are examining the complexities and uncertainties surrounding the choice you have, that's precisely what Kanai et al. found. I imagine that the next line of inquiry would be to examine a population that would have regular MRI scans of the brain, to track development of the different areas of the brain.
It's interesting to think about; I always enjoy investigations of nature versus nurture.
Yo are right about being lied to, I just don't think many have really figured out which lies are which or what the truth is.I am always surprised at how great a role nature plays.......
We, in the modern world, have been led to believe nurture rules.....we have been lied to.

Fear is the only motivating factor of all politics and religion. He who instills the most fear wins.If it's the cons with an over developed fear sensory, then why is the left pandering to the fears of their voter base?

I think you're right.Fear is the only motivating factor of all politics and religion. He who instills the most fear wins.
I think Cliffy's answer was more objective. They aren't pandering to their baseThe base is the vote they can count on, presumably the fear tactics would work on more conservative minded voters. The folk who haven't made up their mind.
And this is new research![]()

Ahh yes, take the broad sweep and narrow it. But way to prove my point about the OP in the process.I can show easily that it's not. Bill Casey was a politician, and he wasn't motivated by fear. If he was, he would have voted with his party when the budget clearly wasn't in the best interest of his constituents.
I'm sure you'll argue it, but Buddhism is more a philosophy, than a religion. As far as religion goes, show me how the Buddhists instill the most fear to get the number of followers that they have.

Is this karma at work? 16-year-old faces charges after vehicle hits Buddhist temple in ReginaBuddhism still has evil spirits and karma will get you. Some people, no matter what their religion, are good because it is within their nature, most people are good because they fear the consequences.
