Absolutely!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could be weaned off Saudi oil???, and then fcuk them too.

:)
They (since you aren't even American) by developing alternatives or existing reserves, trouble is that would leave all that oil for other Nations to use and that would mean their development would surpass the US in a very short period of time, that is why the US is so involved in controlling the oil, at any price in terms of dollars and amount of violence. Why would they attack Israel, that would mean they would have to send troops over there to hold onto the land, a task that is impossible as America knows from the Afghanistan and Iraq invasions. Israel has nothing Iran even needs and the ones that should be protecting Gaza and the West Bank are the ones who voted 'yes' to UN 181, they are the ones who have fallen flat on their lying faces, Canada being close to the top og the list of the hypocrites considering their blanket endorsement of any/all things concerning Israel.

First off all, if it would throw development initiative to other countries, why would we give up oil? Especially when WE (Canada) have huge reserves, and yet the east of the country depends on oil from off-shore.

You don't need an army to launch a nuke....or to smuggle one to Islamic Jihad.......

Israel has been under attack from Iran for decades........read the article I posted below.

Run some (new lines as the old ones are being shut down due to age)lines going East rather than all of them going south, how hard is that to figure out. Probably has more to resentment from the east in that the only product ever allowed to come from the west had been wheat (and other grains and some horse meat, euw) Who freighters over the oil, Canada Steamships? (all of which are owned my former PM martin and all of which are registered off-shore just so Canada gets no tax revenue, shoddy to say the least)
They have been neighbors for about 5,000 years, we killed off 99% of the locals when 'we' first arrived here (couple of centuries), who is the bigger threat to 'neighbors' us (remnants of Britannia) or people that have had Jews living in their country for many 100's of years, after all there had to be for some to be expelled following the Jewish massacres and mass deportations of just Arabs following the signing of UN 181 in Nov of 1947.

You need to post something 'below' before I can be expected to read it.

MHz... If you want a war with Iran then petition your own government. You war mongers have been predicting and hoping for a war between the US and Iran since the Bush years... maybe before. If you want it so bad then start a movement.

Excellent!

The idiots are the ones that would let the psycho leaders of Iran develop nukes.

Well, yes but, I was referring to idiots that post on web forums that "The Obama administration already denied their super bunker-buster bombs to Israel" when those that follow these sorts of things know different. One would think that people would try and stay current on these types of things before they start spouting off.

They had denied them some months ago, and then reversed the decision.

So tell me, were you born an arsehole, or do you have to work at it?????

Such a nice way of putting things.

Where the hell do these fantasy stories come from? We had a thread similar to this a couple of years ago. I pointed out then that there would be no war with Iran. It just isn't going to happen. Not only have the US and Britain reduced their military presence in the Middle East, but there is not the slightest indication from either government that they have the slightest interest in taking on a nation that is considerably more powerful than Iraq.

I don't have to work at it at all. Some people give me so much ammunition that it just kinda falls into my lap without having to really think much about it.

APNewsBreak: US to move a brigade of Iraq troops to nearby Kuwait as troubleshooting force - The Washington Post
Published: October 29 2011
MacDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — The Obama administration plans to bolster the American military presence in the Persian Gulf after it withdraws the remaining troops from Iraq this year, according to officials and diplomats. That repositioning could include new combat forces in Kuwait able to respond to a collapse of security in Iraq or a military confrontation with Iran. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/30/w...post-iraq-troop-increase-in-persian-gulf.html

You're right, an Iraq style invasion of Iran is unlikely. Bunker Buster and Special Forces strikes, on the other hand, could happen.

Netanyahu Orders Investigation into Leaked Plans to Attack Iran
Two former Israeli intelligence officials, Meir Dagan and Yuval Diskin, are reportedly suspected of leaking to prevent attack

by John Glaser, November 03, 2011

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered an investigation into alleged leaks of plans to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, according to reports.
The main suspects for the leak are the former heads of Israel’s intelligence agencies the Mossad and the Shin Bet, Meir Dagan and Yuval Diskin respectively. Netanyahu purportedly suspects that the two former agents leaked the information in an attempt to thwart an effort by him and Defense Minister Ehud Barak to push for a unilateral, preemptive attack on Iran

Ummm... you do realize that posting this stuff from that site has about as much credibility as posting a story from Faux News criticizing Obama...just sayin'

according to whom??

Many articles posted on that site have been spot on. Many have pointed out truths that folks refuse to face. Particularly PRO WAR folks.

Don't watch Faux News so don't know what their platform is.
