Meet the New Boss.......
..... Same as the Old Boss.
Disapointing to say the least... then again, still not all that suprising.... people are just too damn scared to vote anything else into power besides the same old routine everybody's used to for decades.
Another minority Conservative government...... wow.... talk about a 98% complete waste of time.
And I don't say 100% waste of time because of two things that might benifit out of all of this:
#1 - the NDP are graining some steam and overall I feel they ran the best campaign and answered the most straight forward.... so long as they keep this up, they can only improve.
#2 - The Liberals should finally realize just how much of a stupid mistake it was to have Dion as their leader and to follow with that stupid Green Shift plan. With any luck, they'll can his ass and replace him with someone who most can understand and who might actually answer questions directly and to the point.
Oh.... and in regards to the Greens.... May sure as hell requires some education and experience in politics 101. She shouldn't have picked a fight with Peter McKay in his home town, where she isn't actually from..... where his father held the position for a long time before him at that. I would have loved to see McKay get voted out of power..... but seriously.... against May, he already won.
She should have setup camp elsewhere in Nova Scotia and she might have actually had a seat today in Ottawa.
Secondly, she's gotta control her big mouth. Having a strong opinion and unleashing the demon can be good from time to time, but not all the time..... people just lose interest and see you as a loud mouth who's in it for the simple fact that you're in it.
I'm glad that she's gotten her chance for her party to get into the debates and onto more ballots, but they have a long ways to go before people are going to take her seriously.
Back to the Liberals:
Here in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, as well as PEI, it was clearly apparent that the Green Shift certainly didn't have the Maritimes in mind when it was planned up, and most made it clear that it wasn't something they wanted to deal with. I was hoping that NDP would take my Halifax West area, but a Conservative took it from the Liberals, so to me I guess that will do.... as sucky as it sounds, I'd much rather the Conservatives take the area then the Liberals.
And the big thing I noticed was Newfoundland...... all Liberal except for one pocket of NDP which I believe was the first time any NDP held a position on the Island. Clearly Newfoundland wanted to send the message that d*cking over the maritimes over their resources won't fly..... too bad Nova Scotia didn't clue in.
Through all the minor changes, overall it was a big waste of time, and here we go..... back to more of the same, except with a bigger Conservative party and a crumbling Liberal Party.
Maybe this time they'll boot Dion out and put someone in who won't make the party walk out, not vote and not do their damn jobs.
