I take it you've seen the evidence?

Actually those with the authority to have seen it, since it appears it was confidential stuff.

And Trump has had since Spring to turn this shit over, and didn't.

I know you think he can do no wrong and he's a Saint (a better saint than Obama, the best Saint, Nobody's ever been a Saint like him!) but if someone close to him turned over proof to get a warrant and they pulled stuff out, then obviously there IS an issue going on.

So you have been told....by whom I wonder?

They haven't unsealed the scope or revealed the contents of what was confiscated pretty hard to guess what they got on Trump. One source is trying to say that Trump had the Nuclear launch codes (they are changed often this is stupid) another source says he has confidential info on nuclear warheads (again stupid). A different source says the FBI came in to get evidence they are sure that trump had on cross fire hurricane (which was authorized for release but never was) which is much more plausible.

So when Trump turned everything over to the library on June 4th which was requested in May do you think they missed something or is this political grandstanding?

If Trump doesn't do his own release by today, the DOJ is going to release.

But then of course I'm sure you'll deny it's 'true'.

pretty hard to guess what they got on Trump.

True, it is hard to guess.

One source is trying to say that Trump had the Nuclear launch codes (they are changed often this is stupid)

First I'm hearing of this one.

another source says he has confidential info on nuclear warheads (again stupid).

Stupid, sure, but this is Trump so stupid is near automatic when it involves him.

But as we don't know exactly what was taken, it's all hypothetical (even if some news site has a 'scoop'.)

A different source says the FBI came in to get evidence they are sure that trump had on cross fire hurricane (which was authorized for release but never was) which is much more plausible.

That could be, sure.

So when Trump turned everything over

He didn't hence the subpoena he got to return the REST of the things he took...

to the library on June 4th which was requested in May do you think they missed something or is this political grandstanding?

Personally, I think Trump has stuff he did not turn over. Why, I don't know.

But I think this because if there wasn't credible probable cause for the FBI and the DOJ to be doing this, it WOULDN'T be done. I mean, come on, as insane as the things Trump has done, now that he's "Mr. Civilian", doing anything to him overtly in a manner like this would mean ire and rage from the base (which, of course, is happening). Garland hasn't done SFA since getting his post for anything really related to Trump, to the point that people are pissed at him for doing nothing.

So for him to do this, there has to be SOME reason.

So they got a warrant, and executed it.

Then they inventoried the boxes.

Now they're willing to produce the warrant and the list.

Why do YOU think it's all bunk?

And they demanded that they be left alone to do it and that all security cameras be shut off. Care to explain oh wise one?
Standard procedure. You really think the cops let suspects wander around freely while they conduct a search?

As for the security cameras, they can't enforce that. But they can demand it, and if you're too stupid to know your rights, that's on you.

Well, this is interesting...

I'll say this, Beau sounds so much in disbelief over the sheer idiocy of this - and I don't blame him - that I think there are no words outside of explaining what happened.

Also posting some comments because they're rather interesting too (and yes, social media, youtube, can't believe everyone, yada yada but I'm going with IF these people are who they say then it gives serious context to the truth of this video)

I was an intelligence analyst in the US Army in the 1990s and had a Top Secret SCI clearance. And you are correct the media has no idea how serious this is with Trump having boxes of this stuff. This is insane even for Trump standards.

Same clearance. USMC for me. When I heard TS/SCI docs were among those recovered I felt my spine go ridged and every muscle in my body clench. None have unclenched. I don't think they will until he's in jail - at least!

@Mitchlyn Roberts going to clench a bit tighter if they ever go into detail about who else saw them or saw copies if copies were made. You'll probably be in the hospital having a muscle relaxant administered STAT.

@Mitchlyn Roberts I have a question for you. Do the States' allies, as in NATO, have reason to worry? Has 45 dragged us in with him?

@Lea Doucet That all depends on the documents themselves. The TS /SCI means the information was compartmentalized information. That could be anything. It's the compartmentalized that is the key word here... ie... it's information that one group/agency has access to, but, others do not. That could mean intelligence information, or weapon systems that are still hidden, black ops information or even black ops sites... the list goes on. But, yes, it very likely might involve other countries in the information. Or, might not.

@Lea Doucet So, it depends (everything I share from this point on can be found on the internet and is publicly available). We do a good bit of intelligence sharing with our allies. Some TS docs are classified as able to be shared with certain foreign governments (FVEY is a good example to Google). Other information can be classified as NOFORN - which means it can't be shared with non-US citizens. (This next bit is more speculation) Depending on what caveats were on those docs and what info was in them, it's entirely possible there's stuff that could affect other countries in very serious ways.

@Lea Doucet We don't know. TS refers to the risk to the nation if it is uncovered, and SCI basically means it was information that needed to be kept secret from those outside of a "need to know" basis.

@Mitchlyn Roberts Why would he do this? I know he's an idiot but why would he want these documents. I mean if he kept them by the pool they weren't that important to him... just why? do you think.

@M Gass thank you. I imagine many countries aren't too pleased with the States at the moment, mine included. I'll keep my hopes up and fingers crossed that not too much damage has been done.

@Mary Jones Anything is speculation at this point, but others have pointed out that he's had many high paying foreign visitors at his hotel and a great deal of foreign investments recently put into family businesses. So, potentially treason for profit. The hope is incompetence, but if it isn't that... I can't even begin to imagine what the consequences will be

@Mitchlyn Roberts thank you. I appreciate your answering my question. Living next door to the States has been difficult since 2016 and the saga keeps getting worse. Fingers crossed this ends well for everyone, except for 45 and his enablers.

So... a valid point raised.

If Trump claims things were planted (which he does) then... why doesn't he have video and release it of the plants? Video cameras are all over Mar-A-Largo...

Also, if the FBI were there and planted BOXES of things (which was listed in the inventory) then why hasn't the Lawyer shown pictures taken of FBI planting these boxes, or at least carrying them INTO the place, to prove his client is innocent?

Two other observations about all this.

1. Donald Trump has proven to US allies that the US is now a VULNERABLE country when it comes to intel. Hell, it's proven to enemies it's vulnerable too. And even though Trump is no longer in charge, it's the current Admin that now has to reassure allies that the US is 'secure' and that this was somehow a fluke (which, to be fair, kind'a is).
2. A specific country and leader was named in the list of documents removed from Mar-A-Largo - papers about Macron of France - so how do you think FRANCE will deal with this? This now goes back to point one, that the US is now more vulnerable than it has been for decades, intelligence wise and security wise.

A third point to add: if you "support the Troops" then you DAMN WELL best be NOT on Trump's side. Because this breech of security puts every damned soldier in danger regardless of where they are. Unless you think the hold of US secrets is okay (a la Assange I suppose) in which case... well I am trying to be a 'polite' person now...

(and trying to equate this to Hunter Biden or Clinton... don't, just don't. Take the whataboutism and stuff it somewhere, focus on the fact Trump had this shit and now the US is severely diminished as a 'secure ally' nation)
