Frickin hilarious gotta give this PO credit for not laughing or losing it

Yep and whether she teaches kids or college students, she's a person I would not want teaching my kids either way!! She doesn't need to be cancelled - people need to know what she thinks and feels so that they can 1) Debate her (but she'd not likely listen) or 2) see her for the fool that she is.

WOKE WATCH: Snowflake spies go for woke in recruitment campaign

Bland. James Bland.

Never mind that terrorist nonsense.

The fabled CIA is going for woke with its new recruitment campaign that’s packed with politically correct buzzwords.

The recruitment video was met almost immediately with derision as viewers were introduced to an “intersectional,” “cisgender” 36-year-old Latina mother.

And our heroine can also “wax eloquent on complex legal issues” while remaining true to her Latina roots.

“I am a woman of colour, I am a mom, I am a cisgender millennial who’s been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder,” she states.

Cue dramatic string music as the backdrop.

“I am intersectional, but my existence is not a box-checking exercise. I did not sneak into the CIA,” the agent says, adding she has suffered from “impostor syndrome.

“My employment was not and is not of a fluke or a slip through the cracks. … I am educated, qualified and competent.”

Cue the giggles.

“China and Russia Love this,” said Donald Trump Jr.

Conservative podcaster Dinesh D’Souza chimed in: “The CIA just released a recruitment video full of woke propaganda and America’s enemies are laughing their heads off.”

“That our universities teach people to talk like this is a national embarrassment,” tweeted writer J.D. Vance.

Ironically, the CIA came under fire in the dark days following 9/11 precisely because the fabled agency had dramatically cut back on its tough field operatives for something a little more politically correct.

The result was a bureaucracy full of spies who were great at virtue signalling, not so great at catching America’s enemies, in what has been described as the most cataclysmic intelligence failure in history.

The generation that saw everyone get a prize are physical wrecks, according to a new report.

Millennials — that wokest of generations — whose parents and teachers thought participation prizes and the elimination of winning and losing would bring a health nirvana are finding the opposite.

As the oldest of the loudest cohort hits 40, many are dealing with chronic health conditions, according to CNBC.

About 44% of older millennials — those born between 1981 and 1988 — are reporting having been diagnosed with at least one chronic health condition, according to a recent survey conducted by the network. And they don’t even smoke!

“Hypertension, diabetes, and obesity drives a lot of that,” said Dr. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association.

Migraine headaches, major depression, and asthma are the three most common ailments while Type 2 diabetes and hypertension round out the top five.

COLUMBUS DAY = ITALIAN HERITAGE/ INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S DAY

Christopher Columbus has long sat atop the woke hit list and the New York Public School system has just taken the explorer off the board.

Now, the educators are replacing the Columbus Day holiday and — drum roll — replacing it with something called “Indigenous People’s Day.”

After protests from the Big Apple’s large Italian community, the day has been changed to “Italian Heritage Day/Indigenous People’s Day.”

“City Hall wants Italian Heritage Day and Indigenous People’s Day so no one is left out,” Mayor Bill de Blasio’s spokesman told the New York Post.

City Councilman Joe Borelli called the change “insulting woke nonsense” in a tweet.

DERBY BESTS WOKE OSCARS IN RATINGS

In the Woke Sweepstakes, Oscar finished dead last.

The virtue-signalling awards show hit rock bottom with just 10.4 million viewers for the April 25 show, the 93rd edition. Besting it was the NFL Draft … and Saturday’s Kentucky Derby on NBC that took the crown.

Medina Spirit won at a socially-distanced Churchill Downs and racked up 14.4 million viewers. This year’s Derby viewership was up 53%, and it marked the first time it beat the Academy Awards.

WOKE WATCH: Prince gave comatose Snow White kiss without consent

Well, now it’s come to this.

Two San Francisco “journalists” (read activists) are taking umbrage at Disneyland’s new Snow White’s Enchanted Wish ride at the famed California theme park.

It seems “journalists” Katie Dowd and Julie Tremaine were appalled by “a kiss he (the prince) gives to her without her consent, while she’s asleep (in the story he thought she was dead, but nevermind that), which cannot possibly be true love if only one person knows it’s happening.”

So, apparently, Katie and Julie don’t have much else on their plate and are laser-focused on the prince kissing Snow White at the end of the ride.

It seems the prince is a terrifying sexual predator.

The “journalists” raged: “Haven’t we already agreed that consent in early Disney movies is a major issue? That teaching kids that kissing, when it hasn’t been established if both parties are willing to engage, is not OK?

“It’s hard to understand why the Disneyland of 2021 would choose to add a scene with such old-fashioned ideas of what a man is allowed to do to a woman.”

Hot on the heels of the Globe and Mail informing us that Toronto’s ravines are “racist” and CBC pronouncing that, yes, bird-watching is … racist … comes Cornell University.

The university is defending its new rock-climbing class offered only to minority groups.

The course is “BIPOC Rock Climbing.” And, of course, the class is “for people who identify as Black, Indigenous, ‘Latinx’, Asian, or other people of colour.”

Cornell has now been accused of violating federal and state civil rights law, the New York Post reports. And some skunks are determined to spoil the woke garden party.

One Reddit user called the effort a “horrifically and monstrously racist practice that has no place in the modern world” and “literally evil,” as per the Post.

But helpfully, here’s instructor Matthew Gavieta, a junior, to explain it all. Because, you know, really they’re trying alleviate “an issue of inaccessibility for minorities in this white-centric sport.”

Senior Michelle Croen, added: “It’s difficult to be a minority and feel welcomed in the outdoors. (She cited) cost of entry and accessibility (and) smaller microaggressions like the names of some outdoor climbing routes.”

There’s more! “Just under the surface, the climbing world especially is affected by racism, sexism and size-ism, by creating a community of traditionally underrepresented people, we allow students to explore climbing and what it means to them on their own terms, in a comfortable, safe space.”

WOKE WATCH: Librarian declares libraries' Dewey system 'racist'

America’s wokest librarian doesn’t appear to actually like libraries.

Reanna Esmail, an outreach and engagement librarian (whatever that is) at Cornell University, claims that libraries aren’t the knowledge repositories you thought they were.

No, they’re “fraught with racism.” And the famed Dewey Decimal System? Forget it. Bigotry personified.

“As a librarian, I see the ways in which my profession has the capacity to confront bias and misinformation in ways we approach and teach information and digital literacy,” Esmail said at a recent conference.

“Libraries are predominantly white fields, and Cornell is no exception in this regard. Libraries themselves also have a fraught history of being complicit in racism, and in some cases, upholding and disseminating racist ideas.”

And by gosh, let’s hold them accountable. Melvil Dewey invented the system in 1876, and it has been used to classify books ever since. Our heroic librarian calls the system “outdated.”

SEX COMPLAINT AGAINST PROF DROPPED (HE WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY)

Dartmouth College graduate student Maha Hasan Alshawi hit the headlines last year when she embarked on a heroic hunger strike to get the university to investigate her claims that a math professor sexually harassed her.

She sobbed to TV cameras that Professor Alberto Quattrini Li “grabbed himself inappropriately.” SWINE (Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything) quickly jumped on the bandwagon.

But there was a big problem, according to a recently released external investigation. Li was out of the country at the time of the alleged incidents. Whoops.

And, Alshawi’s claims weren’t helped by a similar accusation she had laid against a professor at the American University in Cairo. It, too, was dismissed.

Then, there was what was probably the real reason for the complaint: Alshawi had been left off an underwater robotics research trip to Barbados. She screamed: RETALIATION!

Rex Murphy: When the woke come for conservatives of colour

Thank you, Professor Rima Azar, for picking Canada as your home. I apologize for some of the tenants

1620872889436.png

There is a sort of madness abroad, a flippancy about the terms of reality itself, and it is comforted by the blasé acceptance that what we know is strange and rare and off every centre is perfectly normal.

Is “normal” an allowed word? An interminable tide of woke prescriptions and politically correct dogmas pulses on. New and invented rules multiply by the minute and are not one bit less stringent for never having been debated, passed by any assembly, or discussed out loud in any forum of open minds. Suddenly, they are just there.

Resist them all. Hold fast to your own ideas of what is right and wrong.

A very current and cruel example of the new rules and codes comes from Mount Allison University. Professor Rima Azar, who was born in Lebanon during the horrors of a civil war — an experience, believe it or not, more “triggering” than a snippet from a Jordan Peterson talk — dissented from the radical left perspective that Canada is a “racist country.” Thereby she caught the inquisitorial eyes of some woke Mount A. students.

They keened that she denied that Canada was “systemically racist” and moreover — terrible human person that she is — spoke “unkindly” of the Black Lives Matter movement. Is there no limit to her indecency? Her new-Canadian audacity? The associate professor of health psychology was creating an “unsafe space.” I guess they weren’t in Lebanon 20 years ago.

Mount Allison, with that courage that now marks almost all universities education institutions, quickly leaped to suspend her, and without pay. Ah, Mount Allison, I presume you still have a philosophy department.

Rima Azar is a Canadian. She has the right to speak her mind. To use the phrase beloved by so many, her “lived experience” makes her all the richer on this topic than the majority on the other side of the question. She has tasted some of the most bitter parts of life on this globe of ours. She knows real hurt, has seen pain and death.

She came to Canada. She found a welcome. She found work in this “systemically racist” country. These facts — and this is my assumption, but I think it well-founded — told her (a) once a foreigner, (b) from the Middle East, (c) a woman, that, hey, this Canada is a fair and welcoming place.

She suffers attacks on her character and is suspended from her job because she expressed praise for the country that accepted her. Off with her head.

Between the spine of a jellyfish and that of Mount A’s faculty and administrators, there is only this difference: in time, the jellyfish may grow one.

If Canada is a place where an immigrant professor is attacked and hurt, for saying the country she came to, to escape the hell of civil war, to say in public that this country is not “systemically racist,” can be vilified and shamed, here’s my question: What kind of country have we become?

Rima Azar, I do not know you. But I can thank you for expressing appreciation of the country you chose to make your home. It is a sweet thing you have done, to say “thank you” out loud to that new homeland, and it was a brave thing — how strange this is — to declare it as a place of welcome. I am sorry to see you at the centre of a storm that only privileged and safe people would think of stirring.

I’m glad you picked us as home. I apologize for some of the tenant.

Rex can STFU any time now with his snowflake, crocidile tears about someone from a small University he wouldn't care about at any other time because it's Liberal Arts.

As someone from Sackville, home of Mt. A, GOOD that this woman has repercussions from her posts.

I don't personally care where she's from, Canada DOES have racist people in it, and IS a racist country, especially in certain parts, and NB has a horrible history of it itself.

Yes, her life experience has been different than those born in Canada, it gives her maybe a different point of view about Canada as a whole, but that does not excuse the fact she is wrong.

She's a University prof that has a varied amount of students. We have students from all over the world here - Japan, the Middle East, the US, other parts of Canada, China, Taiwan, Africa, Europe. Yet ignorance of her adoptive country and the realities of it doesn't help them at all. To dismiss the experiences of some of those students as it pertains to racism is totally ignorant, and calling them out, by name, on her personal blog steps over the prof/student line.

If she wanted to keep her job, she should known better than to post the stuff she did. Her job isn't just to work as a Professor, but to teach students, and when students feel uncomfortable with her, then she is no longer doing her job properly, and the University has the right to dismiss her. They did their end, they looked into the matter, found what she did stepped over the line, and suspended her.

If she wants to appeal - and she is apparently - then fine, but until then, Rex is just cherry picking another "the left is mean!" story he doesn't honestly GAF about.

Moreso she made her bed and now she's whining about being called out on it.

I personally don't care what her opinions are; her bringing up her students on her personal blog and referencing them is a whole other matter and crossed a line. That does not fly with me, sorrynotsorry.

You have no idea what Rex does or does not give a fuck about.

Every country in the world has racists people in it - every single one. Racists exist for a number of reasons - two being lack of education/exposure to people of other ethnicities and religion. There are many countries that can be called racist but Canada is not one of them. Our doors are open to people of every color, race and religion. A truly racist country would hardly be so welcoming.

Sowing yet more seeds of division does nothing but entrench racist views in those already so inclined.

Exactly . Who was it that welcomed the United Nations if it wasn’t Canadians ?

... you say every country in the world has racists in it, and yet say Canada isn't racist. Okay, I can see your point there, kind of; you're getting into semantics.

However considering the number of racists there are in this country, I'm not going to go all bleeding heart and say that Canada isn't racist. Because it is. I've heard it, I see it. Sure it can also be welcoming to anyone from anywhere, that doesn't negate the fact that it is a racist country, IMO. It's also a country that is trying NOT to be racist, it's a work in progress, but we've a long way to go before people can honestly say that no, Canada isn't racist.

So that Rex is defending a woman who says there IS no racism in Canada or in NB itself (which if she thinks that then she doesn't get out much at all) is absolute BS. Hell there are people in this TOWN who are racist and would be all too happy to tell this prof to GTFO of Canada for being from Lebanon. Just as there are those who welcome her even if her views are full of shit.

So no, he does not give one sweet fuck at all about the story (if he did he'd look into the town, the people and the fact she brought her students into her personal blog), it's just a talking piece to him to show "the left is _____" whatever BS tirade he wants to go on today.

ETA: acknowledging that Canada is racist and we've race issues means we realize we're not as far along as we thought we were, we've more to do as a country to solve Racism and realistically, and it gives us goals to work to.
