Just because some racists exist in a society, doesn't make the place systemically racist. See how that works?

I do.

Sadly you don't see that it's not just 'some'. Or maybe you're lucky and there is only 'some' in your province. NB, sadly, has a lot of racism.

Leading Democrat James Carville worries “wokeness” and “faculty-lounge politics” will torpedo his party’s gains in the last election.

“Wokeness is a problem,” he told Vox, “and we all know it.”

Carville said in a wide-ranging interview that the party has a “messaging problem” and last November’s election against “world-historical buffoon” Donald Trump should have been a blowout.

Carville claims U.S. President Joe Biden’s best attribute in his first 100 days has been skipping “faculty lounge politics.”

“You ever get the sense that people in faculty lounges in fancy colleges use a different language than ordinary people? They come up with a word like ‘Latinx’ that no one else uses,” Carville told Vox.

“Or they use a phrase like ‘communities of colour.’ I don’t know anyone who speaks like that. I don’t know anyone who lives in a ‘community of colour.’ I know lots of white and black and brown people and they all live in … neighbourhoods.”

60 MINUTES ROASTED ON TRANS STORY

With one tiny toe, venerable news show 60 Minutes stepped into the gender waters and was crucified for its efforts.

A wide range of LGBTQ organizations slammed the show over speaking the unspeakable: Detransitioning.

The story was on health care for transgender people and focused on detransitioning. The resulting brouhaha was, well, predictable.

GLAAD dropped this one: “Tonight @60Minutes @LesleyRStahl aired a shameful segment fear-mongering about trans youth. Parents of trans youth could walk away with the false belief that young people are being rushed into medical transition. That is simply untrue.”

The group followed with a litany of buzzwords.

Of particular concern was an interview with Grace Lidinsky-Smith (founder of the Gender Consumer Advocacy Network) who shared her detransitioning story. She detransitioned one year after her transition.

Or you could argue the episode was well balanced.

The segment also featured calls from doctors to increase care and fight bans on treatment, as well as advocates raising awareness of violence against transgender people.

But it appears that alternative perspectives are now out of style.

LOL Nope, I'm very sure the 60 minutes beef was about the story and who was featured and the shit job done.
