He was only charged because of the likes of Al Sharptin et al and special interest groups. Unfortunately, they got it wrong and I believe the right verdict was reached.

I heard on the news late this morning Senator Harry Reid wants the US Justice
Department to lay Federal Charges against Zimmerman. This would be great.
No its not double jeopardy he was tried under Florida State Law and not Federal.
I hope the Fed crucify him.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I understand it, (unless new evidence if brought up) a man can not be tried twice for the same crime. Are you certain beyond reasonable doubt he's guilty? I sure aren't!

That's right....I mean they failed to judicially lynch an innocent man the first time....let'em have another go at it.

BTW, it WILL NOT happen, as the jury in this case made the correct decision.

The prosecution had no case.

Simple as that.

Even Obama's crew of idiots can't create a case where none exists.

You want to waste more taxpayer money? I would think this move would be great grounds for a malicious prosecution lawsuit which should make George a rich man.

I think it would be double jeopardy. I am sure the intent of double jeopardy is not concerned about what level of court is involved.

The Lesson of George Zimmerman’s “Not Guilty” Verdict | TIME.com

If the jury could not tell us what to think of Zimmerman, it had even less to say about the larger issues embedded in the case. Trayvon Martin’s killing has served as a morality tale, wrapping in it questions of racial profiling, self-defense, and gun ownership. But the fact that Zimmerman was found not guilty does not mean young black men are not being racially profiled in large numbers – any more than a conviction would have meant that they are. It does not mean we need more guns – or fewer guns. It does not mean self-defense laws need to be changed – or that they do not.

And therein lies the real takeaway of the Zimmerman case: it is telling us as clearly as it can that for all of these months, we have been paying too much attention to it. Like a badly prepared teacher who is overly reliant on in-class movies, we use glitzy trials to raise obliquely things that we should be talking about directly.

Are young black men being racially profiled? Are there too many guns in the hands of private citizens? Does the law give people too much leeway in using deadly force in self-defense? The Zimmerman trial was never going to answer any of those questions. But now that it is over, we should be able to find the time – and the right forum – to tackle them head-on.

actually wearing hoodies is the style of many young people and although it makes it easier for people to use a hoodie who have bad intent, it means relatively nothing to see a 17 year old wearing a hoodie when it is 80 degrees...younguns are crazy that way.

I don't think Zimmerman is person with a clear understanding of human behaviour, and if a regular cop is hired on the merits of low IQ and he is just a rent a cop...well 'nough said.

few brains, a gun and anger issues coupled with a black kid in a hoodie on a rainy night...yeah, something is gonna go down

Yah, but:: he's got a neat wink;-).................But the wink was several days ago so it don't count.

So I did.

And found little of value.

The system worked.....no debate needed.

Zimmerman was viciously attacked while behaving in a lawful manner, and luckily he had a gun to defend himself.

BTW, here in Canada, under the same circumstances, he would also be not guilty. There is an inherent right to defend yourself.

Nothing more needs be discussed.

It's all good.

Cool, I'm going to start stalking boggins, confronting them, and shooting them, then bang my noggin on the concrete to declare self defense.

Zimmerman was not stalking, not in any sense of the word, and certainly not legally.

There is no evidence GZ confronted TM, in fact, quite the opposite.

A witness saw Zimmerman up close seconds after the shot, and he was injured.

Which leaves only one question:

Why do you feel this overwhelming urge to occasionally make yourself look like a complete moron??
