The Iraqi parliament has voted to ask the government to end the agreement to host US troops in Iraq. The move would essentially oust US troops from Iraq.

Some 5 thousand US troops are currently serving in different regions of Iraq. Washington sent troops there more than four years ago to help defeat the so-called Islamic State.

The Baghdad government accused the US of violating its sovereignty by carrying out the airstrike on its soil.

Does anyone remember when the US shot down an Iranian lane ( by "accident" ) and killed over 200 passengers??

There was NO apology for that horror .........

Sure , Iran does not always handle things as effectively as they should....... and do carry angst..........that is shown in aggressive conduct................but one might take time to look at the historical profile of events between the US and Iran....... BOTH parties are responsible for their conduct .......and he US does not play fair either. The US claims to be a nation of laws and higher standards...........so why does it not act like that?? The US is trying to change Iran's behavior with force and sanctions and threats BULLYING .......... which will not work............... IF the US wants Iran to change its behavior to the US.........the US has to change ITS behavior first........so as to elicit the kind of behavior that is constrictive That is just basic behavioral psychology. antagonism just gets everyone''s back up... and go into a defensive position.
Trump is too stupid to understand that........and loves to be the most bellicose bully on the planet. And he wants to be respected?? maybe in some mafia style world would his conduct yield "respect" In the real world .....he is just a dysfunctional bully.

Don't mean to put down your military. Your guys and gals are tough and well trained.

Just that you don't have much power projection capability, and just about no history of aggressive action, except in concert with the Brits or the Yanks.

Our history of ground troops and artillery are legendary, spearheaded every major British offenses in late WW I and all of WW II, formable foe on sea and sky with the limited equipment that we have.
