Pretty sad that a 12 year old can't play with a toy gun without getting picked off by Matt Dillon.
When we were 12 we played with real guns. 22s mostly some fairly high powered pellet rifles for the time.

Hard to answer. There is no requirement for reporting, and national statistics are partial at best.2 questions come to mind.
How many police killings the US?
Indictments are rare, convictions moreso. Such as do occur generally do so when the shooting is not in the line of duty (e.g., a person who happens to be a police officer shooting his girlfriend in an argument). How many indicted and convicted?
OK, so now the right-wing meme is that Tamir Rice deserved to die because his father has a history of domestic violence.
And it turns out that the cops' account of the incident is pure fiction.
But for video: Tamir Rice edition - The Washington Post
Surprised this one didn't catch on more. Didn't hit the zeitgeist like Michael Brown did. Callled that one wrong. I thought people would be more pissed about the 12 year old. Go figger.
He was clearly a violent, dangerous felon, a drug user and a bad person. And with a name like Tamir, probably a Muslim terrorist. I'm glad he's dead.
Didn't watch the video, did you?
Heck, even the cops didn't claim he pointed it at them. But you go ahead on and make up whatever facts your stupid needs.
Oh, and by the way, this is a Canadian board about Canadian issues, so why are you running your mouth about American killings?

You're such a troll..
Pretty defensive of Tamir Rice on another thread, in your usual unprofessional Internet Lawyer way..

...and you're still around.. your parents obviously explained you don't point guns at police.
Guess the 12 year old kid lacked parental supervision.. so blame the parents..
You're such a troll..
wow...that kid was 5'7", 195 pounds...pretty hefty for a 12 year-old eh.

You watched the video, the officer stated he gave directions to the kid, 3 times.
Must be a fast talker is my opinion.Ya think the Officer is full of it?
He pulled up right on top of him, an armed individual, rather stupid move by the Officer. Would you agree?
And the first batches of information the Police put out were about the father and his record. Hhmmm, serving an agenda of providing the public with information to sway opinion. You agree?
um, all I said was that was a pretty big kid for 12.
I can say 'show me your hands' 3 times in maybe 1-2 seconds. How about you?
Anyway, maybe the cop said what he said he did. The window might even have been down I dunno, At any rate, the choppy video is time compressed so from13 sec to about 20 sec (youtube time) there was plenty of time. The kid stands up around 12 sec and moves toward where the cruiser is coming from so could have either heard the cops, seen them or both, I dunno. Then as we know he reaches for his waistband and the possible buckaroo shoots him. That's all I know or can see.
Too bad the dispatcher hadn't told them it might have been a toy gun. But the cops never knew that.

How can you tell it is compressed?
