We in the west (NATO) pick and choose constantly about who in the world deserves `human rights`. Its based on oil and what serves our interest in the end. We put a blind eye to the rest of Africa and its suffering at the hands of it`s leaders.

Well it isn't logistically possible to police every inch of the world so one must pick and choose. Seems like common sense to pick the battles one has a bigger stake in.
And you do what - Cheer on the soldiers deaths, celebrate them in fact. Seems the Libyans were asking for help. They got help, almost to late due to Obama the straddler - So who are you to say they, the Libyan people themselves are wrong.
Your thesis is shaky. If this was purely a play for oil, the parties involved would not have asked the Arab League for support before placing a no-fly zone over Libya.
Coincidentally enough, the dictators like Gaddafi are also trying to use this canard, that the foreign powers want the oil. Libyans aren't buying it, and western nations were already buying the oil produced in Libya.

I like reading your opinions. I don't always agree with you. But I can tell you are thinking independently. This statement is a bullseye: The other reason we are seeing the action is because Europe needs oil and they will use a humanitarian excuse to get it.

IMO, this war is legal and justified. Gadhafi actions justified the intervention. The UNSC has the authority and responsibility to intervene in a humanitarian crisis. Governments must not be allowed to use force to remain in power. This principle should apply to all countries, not just the ones with oil and leaders we don't like.
