According to the individual mandate in the health care reform law, every American will have to have health insurance unless they are exempt from doing so. Such exemptions are "qualifying religious exemptions, those in a health care sharing ministry, individuals not lawfully present in the United States, and incarcerated individuals." In addition, "[n]o penalty will be imposed on those without coverage for less than 90 days (with only one period of 90 days allowed in a year), members of Indian tribes[,] individuals whose household income is less than the personal exemption amount for the applicable tax year, or any individual who the Secretary of [Health and Human Services] determines to have suffered a hardship with respect to the capability to obtain coverage under a [qualified health plan]. Additionally, individuals whose required contribution for a calendar year exceeds 8% of household income will be exempt from the penalty."

The "[a]nyone" in your comment above is pretty broad, EagleSmack. Everybody, absolutely everybody, will be forced to buy a plan under "Obamacare". The truth: except for all those people who are exempt.

Objective judgment of your statement in light of facts: false.

Just one claim you have made without backing up that can be easily refuted. Sort of like how 50 million uninsured are actually in some (metaphysical?) way insured IN FULL.

Yeah right.

So you failed in the argument so you are moving goal posts by bringing in exemptions? Congress is exempt as well as they make themselves exempt from every lousy law the pass on the common man. There are always exemptions for any law.

FACT- The Poor are covered 100% and have always been. They pay nothing just like before.

FACT-Those that can afford to buy insurance and have not will be MANDATED to BUY insurance.

YOU LOSE

The war has started. I was also wondering why it took so long too.

I would say it is time for a round of pork chops and beer.
We can all speculate what is the meaning of a super moon,
Seriously, we have known for days there would be military
action in Libya, this guy went too far and oil disruption in the
capitals of Europe is not to be tolerated. Things are so bad
that even the French took action that is significant.

There was no doubt that we all would be involved, I am just annoyed that Europe and the Arab states had to involve us before doing anything on their own. If Canada and the U.S. said enough and went home now, France would probably surrender.

Environmentally sensitive parts of the middle of the US after 500 above ground nukes? That's so funny I'm going to pee myself.

Since when can a president go ahead and missle the snot out of another country without passing Congress? Did somebody just paint Bush black?

Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution reads: “Congress shall have power to … declare War.”
After President Harry Truman bypassed Congress to go to war in Korea, presidents have paid almost no attention to the constitutional requirements.

Good way to stir up hatred in Libya for the West, especially the USA.

WASHINGTON – More than 100 anti-war protesters, including the man who leaked the Pentagon Papers, were arrested outside the White House on Saturday in demonstrations marking the eighth anniversary of the U.S.-led war in Iraq.
The protesters, some shouting anti-war slogans and singing "We Shall Not Be Moved," were arrested after ignoring orders to move away from the gates of the White House. The demonstrators cheered loudly as Daniel Ellsberg, the former military analyst who in 1971 leaked the Pentagon's secret history of the Vietnam War that was later published in major newspapers, was arrested and led away by police.

Yet why don't the peace protesters complain about Obama's Lybian war. Guess when a liberal goes to war it is ok

Then why defend it with all your heart and soul if it's useless to those who to swore an oath to uphold it at any cost? The Republic has died.

Not much different than the last boy is he?

Nope. Do you think they'll admit that though?

''50 million uninsured.
"Insured 100%."
Logic trouble.''

The first is true.
The second is a myth.
Therefore, no logic.

There is absolutely no logic to this post.

Compartmentalization does not save the US Liberals from idiocy and facts.

I wonder how many billions this will cost Canadians while my kids school is selling baked goods just to get a few needed textbooks and my sister is waiting 5 months for a neccessary surgery. Its about time we realized we have enough problems within our own borders and spend the money on ourselves.
I call BS

Just exactly which part is BS Gerry?

Nobody in the states pays attention to the constitution. The 2nd ammendment demands that the people rise up in arms against a corrupt government that no longer serves the people. Given that all americans should be have been surrounding congress and the white house with their guns for the last 75 years or more.

Harry didn't go against the constitution neither did Obama, or for that matter George Bush.
the reason is the constitution is not broken is there is no declared war here at all. What
took place was an answer to a UN Resolution, asking for a policing action of sorts. Split
hairs if I will, what they did was legal, and this was not violence against Libya it is education.
The President of the United States has a lot of discretion, short of officially declaring war.
Libya is complaining the allies killed civilians, these were mostly in Government areas and
opposition forces are generally happy with the strikes. Rebels were under constant attack
and its time for this clown to be ousted from power. The other reason we are seeing the
action is because Europe needs oil and they will use a humanitarian excuse to get it.
Fact is most people in the west will support it because in Europe they need oil and in the
rest of the west want an end to Libya as a problem country. Like it or not right and wrong
has nothing to do with the equation
