The Dept of Defense briefed the President this morning.

They told President Obama that 2 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq .

To everyone's surprise, he collapsed onto his desk, head in his

hands, visibly shaken, almost in tears.

Finally, he composed himself and asked,

'Just how many is a brazilian?'

This is not surprising, since he obviously has no understanding of

billion or trillion either.

"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."

Lincoln should have added: At your own peril!

Why does he seem to take a holiday every time there is a crisis........or play golf;-)

Because it is a big game for him. He's reached the top and now he's going to golf, meet with celebrities and sports stars and vacation as he sees fit.

The man is bloody useless.

Rex Murphy in the National Post:

This week, Obama announced he’s heading to, among other stops, Rio, where he will deliver a speech on Sunday. And despite some urging him otherwise, suggesting that a trip to Rio doesn’t fit the urgency of the time — what with Japan, Libya and Bahrain all being aflame in different ways — he’s stood firm. Brazil or bust.
Why not the obvious and serious foreign visit the times require? Why not a trip to Tokyo — a gesture of symbolic solidarity with an ally? Evidently, Rio needs him more.
It is ironic that this high celebrity of a president seems more comfortable with acting the celebrity role than being the president. There’s a vacancy at the top of the world. And his name is Obama.

Pray the Republicans find a reasonable person to run in 2012.

It is too late for John McCain.........and that is a tragedy.

I have to admit I do find that news a little disturbing. Lately I've been starting to wonder if Obama is going to "cut the mustard", I'm starting to think he may be a little timid. But regardless of my opinions (which not everyone in the world agrees with) I've always pretty well taken Rex Murphy pretty seriously. I listen to him on Cross Country checkup occasionally- he's a great listener and he doesn't jump to any conclusion friviously. Aside to Yukon Jack- don't have a heart attack doing cartwheels around the yard.

Somebody beat you to the punch years ago. And it seems to me that Bush went golfing or hid out on his ranch whenever things got too hecktic for him.

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

He was not hesitant - He waffled - Even his administration was waffling - 1st he wants Qaddafi out - then it was a No fly Zone - meaning he stays - Well what is it. With a no fly zone it will lead to boots on the ground - possibly small contingents - but still boots on the ground - or stand by while Libya goes thru a civil war.

Then he tagged onto the team and then states he is all for it. He was trying to straddle a picket fence - sitting on it to long, well he got his ass jammed on one of those pickets.

On this he could not find his own arse with both hands.

But then again he is a good orator.

It was almost as if Hillary Clinton was President these last few weeks. She is over there in Europe meeting with all the other "No Fly Zone" players and Obama is vacationing in Rio.
