I have some idea of what is going on, and I know that all things will pass in time, including our fondest hopes and dreams. I also know that the old will not pay the price. Rather, the young will pay dearly for the sins of their fathers. Do not weep for me. Weep for the young of America who will charged in full measure. Most have no idea what is coming their way. Oh, by the way, Canada is coming along for the ride since it's fate is interwoven with America's.

Obama was suppose to solve everything and "bring us change" but it was the same old usual. I know there is blame going around for the debt but I don't think anyone can hide the fact that the 14 trillion was caused through a combination of military spending and out of control social spending and employee benefits.
If I am correct about Ron Paul, I believe he has stated he would bring the troops home (Obama claimed he would have done the same but he reigned on his promise) and cut otherwise unnecessary spending and trim down on government employees.

Yup, that is what he say's. What irks me even more is that the government is cutting military items from the budget that could at least save the lives of the troop they are keeping there. If your going to keep them fighting at least give them the weapons and equipment to save their lives and win if possible.

The bottom line is that the Obama administration has brought forth the most unbelievable revenue increase that I have ever seen proposed in a budget, a whopping 65% increase in revenues in just four years, which will – miracle of miracles – drop the deficit as a percent of GDP from nearly 11% to just 3.2% over those same four years.
The only problem with this scenario is that it stands virtually no chance of actually happening. Revenue will be far lower than projected and the deficit correspondingly higher.

To begin with, he would have held an urgent press conference on the morning of September 11 to assure leaders of Muslim nations and terrorist groups like Al-Quaeda that America accepts the fact that U.S. policy in the past has often been wrong, dumb, and biased against Muslims.
He would even suggest that wrong-minded U.S. policy caused 9/11.
He would declare, emphatically, that America is NOT a Christian nation and that there would be no military retaliation against any Muslim group or nation.
He would offer to personally meet with Osama bin Laden and his top Al-Quaeda staff in the cave of his (bin Laden’s) choice for a chance to get to know Osama bin Laden and Al-Quaeda better and to incorporate their concerns into future American foreign policy.
He would declare that diplomacy, compassion, and understanding were to replace aggression as the “American Way” to conduct foreign policy.
He would order an investigation into the 9/11 attacks to determine if Israel was behind the attacks in a sneaky attempt to discredit those who practice the Religion of Peace.
He would suspend all economic and military aid to Israel until the Israel investigation was complete.
He would rule out any military retaliation for the attacks, declaring that monies required to run a respectable war were desperately needed to provide free health care, housing, education, and general welfare for millions of “Newly Arrived Refuges,” also known by patriotic Americans as invading criminals.
