It's not sustainable? Canada has 7% of the earth's landmass and resources and only 0.5% of the world's population, you're the richest guy I know.

It's okay. Alberta is only talking about sustainable development to humour us.

To humour you. Like I mentioned before, things are far bigger than you can imagine. It stunned Molocair at the scope things, just the sands alone. He hasn't and you haven't seen jack **** yet.

The economy - if it's not sustainable.
The economy lacks humans. Boink or get used to people cooking funny smelling foods next door.

That it entered Confederation voluntarily. That it was an independent colony of Britain and chose to become part of Canada. It had territorial integrity and a distinct nationality.

Those are the prerequisites of self determination as agreed in the Helsinki agreements.
What paragraph of which article, do you find those prerequisites in the Helsinki Accords?

No other province has any of that.
Really? Are you sure?

The world adheres to that.
I'm well aware of what the world adheres to on self determination.

The world economy is not sustainable, in fact it is circling the drain right now. We can have all the gold in the world, but if the world economy tanks, and I'm sure it will sooner or later, if we have no one to buy our stuff, we go down the drain too. I'm pretty sure all the braggers are in for a rude awakening in the not too distant future.

We'll be fine if we don't blow our load all at once.

If you are well aware then why do you ask?

And I am, indeed, quite sure that NO province other than Newfoundland has any legal claim to a Right of self determination.

You should avoid getting into a Constitutional hassle. The implication of your post shows that it is far beyond your education.

Show where people's lives benefit from boom and bust. Many before have bought houses and stuff during booms only to lose their shirts in a bust. Just look at BC. For decades the boom made a lot of people rich, until they ran out of trees. Nobody thought that could possibly happen. As I have illustrated with photos, there are very little easy access or marketable trees left, and in spite of taxslave's limp dick excuse that it is all the environmentalists fault, it all comes down to greed over riding sanity.

I dunno Wally, you are one of the most ignorant people on here and you keep posting your right wing fascist, teabagger BS.

You got that right. Greedy environmentalists hate to see us earn a living. Actually there is lots of timber left in BC but far too much is tied up in non harvestable tenures. Your maps are full of $hit.

.

There are two sides to this Cliffy. There are some people who sock money away (for a rainy day) during boom times, and there are others who spend all they make during the boom. Every person in this situation has the choice of which side they want to belong to.

Hate to disillusion you but BC was a colony before joining Canada. AND we have a nifty ocean to ship oil across to countries that are willing to PAY for it.

And Canada had to pay off BC's massive debt, and build a railroad. I wonder if it was a good deal? If it weren't for Canada, it would be part of the US, and likely Alberta would, too.
