It has nothing to do with trading. We practically gave them the rights to our resources.

We give them some rocks and things and they give us people with a work ethic. Seems like a good trade to me.

Nope. $83 (WTI) a bbl just like everyone else.

According to mining digest Oil Sands crude is now $60. I suspect this has to do with the extra refining and transportation costs

No pride in prosperity? Who you trying to fool? Yourself?

Nope. If I was rich because I enhanced the lives of others, sure, but if I was rich because I was a complete douche, then there would be no pride in that. It's not a simple as pride going up proportionally with dollar value.

That's a very simple-minded, conservative way of thinking.

While people from each province fight over who has the biggest dick, we are being sold down the river to the Yanks and the Chinese. Keep 'em distracted so they don't notice ........

What, you hate the chinese and the yanks?

Now I assume you also believe in the same standard for all, so you're for Canada forcing Canadians and Canadian corporations to sell off their foreign assets I take it?

We have other oil grades but WTI (West Texas Intermediate) is the benchmark we go by.

As of this minute it's $83.91

I say we can exploit the resources as long we don't screw it for the coming generations.

economy at all cost is a bad idea.

Not quite economy 'at all costs' - but yes a boom/bust cycle is bad for the economy when the bust hits.

The post is good until the last half of the final sentence!

I can see that, if you trace back to the real definition of conservative.

How about neo-conservative then?

Nobody's life is enhanced?

Dunno.... Ask someone who's contributed all their lives then ended up without work

Yep, there are exceptions to every rule and what about people who work hard and contribute all their lives and then suddenly become ill two years before retirement.

Show where people's lives benefit from boom and bust. Many before have bought houses and stuff during booms only to lose their shirts in a bust. Just look at BC. For decades the boom made a lot of people rich, until they ran out of trees. Nobody thought that could possibly happen. As I have illustrated with photos, there are very little easy access or marketable trees left, and in spite of taxslave's limp dick excuse that it is all the environmentalists fault, it all comes down to greed over riding sanity.

Your posts are a beautiful example of the saying, "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing". You haven't much of a clue of what you are posting bout.
I dunno Wally, you are one of the most ignorant people on here and you keep posting your right wing fascist, teabagger BS.

Thats a good point, trying to cash in fast on things doesn't help later when you start producing less cause you are running out of [insert resources here]

This is concept that seems to be overlooked by quite a few people here that say we go forward without any critical eye of the consequences.
