Merry Christmas everyone. Today the days start getting longer. Truly something to celebrate.
You bet, according to the weatherman the first day after the solstice was 3 seconds longer. Good thing the gap widens greatly until the equinox.

Merry Christmas to everyone on CC and all the Best for 2018!

I lost my mom this year so Christmas will definitely be different this year - we all get together at a restaurant rather than cook. There'll be an empty chair at our table this year. Still have my dad and his wife - dad will be 92 on Jan 3rd so I'm blessed to still have him in my life.

Take care everyone and if you're travelling, drive safe!!

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been there and it's a tough first Christmas.

You will never forget your parents. They will always be with you, every Christmas.

Here's wishing you a wonderful Holiday Season Dixie, and despite the sad news about your Mom, i suspect that although Mom won't be there this year, she will be there in spirit and sitting right beside you

POLITE NOTICE - PLEASE READ
- A warning to all
Be careful about drunk driving as it is Christmas and police are out checking on people. Last night I was out for a few drinks and one thing led to another and I had a few too many voddies and then went on to tequila.
Not a good idea!
Knowing I was over the limit I decided to leave my car in town and took a bus home. I passed a police checkpoint where they were pulling over drivers and doing breath tests. Because I was in a bus they just waved me past.
I arrived home safely and no accident, which was a real surprise because I have never driven a bus before and I am not even sure where I got it from!!

All kidding aside, be careful on the highways people. This time of year there are alot of people that have too much to drink and let their wives drive.
