If they were unsecured, why did they have to break locks to get at them?
Locks only keep out honest people!

The cops were totally in the right here. Calgary is rife with unsavoury characters and gang members and it certainly isn't good to have firearms unsecured in vacant houses.

excuse me? First off, High River is NOT Calgary. The weapons were seized by the RCMP in High River. The Calgary City Police would never break into peoples homes and steal their possessions.
The RCMP have all entrances into High River blocked off and have arrested High River residences trying to get into town to check on their property.
What I don't understand is, where do these people get off thinking they have rights?
"Thugs" aren't stupid enough to loot towns surrounded and patrolled by cops in combat gear.I think if a Calgary thug wants to get to High River he could be there within an hour. I don't recall saying anything about the Calgary R.C.M.P.

Exactly.I'm not just exactly clear! Who are you talking about? The residents of High River? The cops?
ExactlySo far, the only "looting" in High River has been done by the RCMP.

Out of the mouths of babes...................Creeping Socialism. We can steer them our way or we can let them run free with the illusion or a herd divided. They've given us the option, we just have to guess which option is the right option.
It's not new to me.
