....which reminds me...
anyone seen that new `reality` show where this guy goes around visiting different states restaurants pigging out on whatever he can in one sitting and with a crowd of patrons cheering him on?

Seems logical to look at who and how the background checks are being done doesn't it?
Curious to know if anyone is going to the Gun Show this weekend in Tucson?

Gun shows still have to follow the laws of the state. Buy a handgun, they call in for updated information about the customer and get a verification code/number. Those without permits have to wait at least 5 days before taking weapon home. There will be one in Ft Lauderdale at the end of the month.

Ya sure, everyone was waiting for her to make her own victim impact statement yesterday. Only seems right being it was the day of the memorial. She's one class act.

As one journalist wrote:

"In the span of a single news cycle, Republicans got a jarring reminder of two forces that could prevent them from retaking the presidency next year. At sunrise in the east on Wednesday, Sarah Palin demonstrated that she has little interest -- or capacity -- in moving beyond her brand of grievance-based politics. And at sundown in the west, Barack Obama reminded even his critics of his ability to rally disparate Americans around a message of reconciliation."

What kind of work is she in, she writes books and does lectures, that alone seems to instill fear in the Democrats. The Republican party won't be that crazy to run her for President, they want to replace President Obama, not give him another 4 years.

The right wing wants her to run for the presidency and say that anyone who disagrees fears her in some way. What a joke that is, eh?

The left wing wants gay marriage and say that anyone who disagrees fears gays in some way. What a joke that is, eh?

The Lefties are the ones who keep bringing her name up all the time. I don't hear anyone else talking about her as much as they do. The lefties must secretly adore her. There are to many others who will be run for the Republican Presidency in 2012.

I've been doing a little thinking about this (and other things) and am beginning to wonder if everyone is focussing on the right things. How are we so sure that this fiasco was politically motivated at all? We all know one or more of the victims was/is political and I'm beginning to doubt if politics was the cause. Recently here in Canada there was a case of a chronic offender who was really messed up after suffering numerous traumatic events in his life- one of them being his uncle forcing him to drown his dog when he was a boy. I got to thinking maybe the perpetrator in the Tucson fiasco possibly suffered a few similar events. I know it's no excuse but after a while maybe a guy gets beyond giving a sh*t.

I think it has more to do with the mind fails to differentiate reality from the fiction it has come to live in because of emotional trauma. It sounds like this guy was more and more isolated because of his unusual behaviour. Without social feedback the mind tends to live more and more in fantasy. Normal chanels of communication within and without the mind get short circuited and it often takes very little to tilt such a mind over the edge.

I'll buy that.

Yeah right. YukonJack has posted plenty about her. Think this through. Does that mean that climate deniers love Al Gore? That YukonJack loves Obama? That heSIRwhoJOSEPHshallPORTERnotbenamed loves GW Bush and Harper?

I think not.
