BTW, does anybody want to deny now that the registration of guns is only good for gov't confiscation??????

I,ve been surrounded by guns all my life, where I live, I used to hunt a lot more than I do now, if it,s in the yard and on the menu it,s gonna get shot.
The woods are dark and dangerous the front lawn is easy Nova Scotia meat. The deer walk on to the range every morning. The month old fawns are best.

That was Hillary to the Judge presiding over her 1st trial.

A relative who served in WW2 told me that more people got shot by accident than were ever shot deliberately!!!!!!!

He said- having people eating, sleeping, going to toilet- all while carrying loaded weapons is a blueprint for regular "accidents"!

It is an ugly FACT that LIE-berals have NO intention of doing anything sensible about crime for fear of losing votes!

LIE-berals hve been ignoring endemic corruption on native reserves for many years!!!!!!

Consider: Here is an article illustrating why the Conservative/Harper govt wanted to crack down on corruption on native reserves! With some comments of my own in brackets):

Bilking nearly $200,000 from Indian and Northern Affairs while working as a development officer with the government department has landed a man a two-year prison term.

Provincial court Judge Mike Dinkel on Thursday said Gerald Eugene Crick’s tragic aboriginal background was enough to reduce the 24 months being sought by the Crown, but not to as low as sought by the defence.

Defence lawyer Kim Ross had suggested Crick’s aboriginal heritage — which included alcohol and physical abuse in his family home — justified a sentence in the six- to 10-month range.

But Ross also said if Dinkel wasn’t willing to reduce the term to that range then a federal sentence of two years would allow Crick to access better programs.

Crown prosecutor Shelley Smith had sought a two-year term for Crick, who defrauded the government between 2003 and 2006, while working as a development officer.

“In the course of committing the fraud, Crick deprived First Nations people,” Dinkel noted.

(This sort of theft has to be regarded as one more reason why natives are so demoralized- govt offers aid and then puts it in the hands of THIEVES and natives do without!)

The judge said Crick, who had an alcohol and gambling addiction at the time he committed the fraud, was repeating bad behaviour learned from his parents.

(One has to ask what manner of security checks this guy faced before being hired to hand out tax money with so little supervision?)

“Crick had a somewhat troubled upbringing that involved alcohol abuse and violence in the home,” Dinkel said.

(In other words he apparently had the typical life of a resident of a native reserve! Which is another reason why we so often view natives with suspicion since so many of them apparently operate with crippling emotional disorders! I think o the drunken native who killed 3 people in a car crash in south west Ontari-owe and exactly the same defense- of drug and alcohol abuse was offered up! It truly is a native epidemic! Natives are entitled to respect but they are to often NOT RELIABLE with our money!)

“It is clear to me that Crick was merely repeating the behaviour of his parents with alcohol,” he said of the offender, who has been sober for five years.

(A cynic would look at this claim of sobriety for 5 years and assume that is time elapsed time from arrest to trial! Nothing sobers up a drunk faster than a trial date with its obligation to persuade a judge the drunk is not as big a jerk as prosecutor is suggesting!)

Crick recruited others to make bogus claims for funding and then split the loot with his accomplices.

(When you start recruiting a group to help you steal this means you are becoming a hard core systematic THIEF and one has to ask if being a former drunk is really an excuse! Recruiting a group demonstrates contempt for those being robbed! )

(And better question would be why LIE-berals have DROPPED the Conservative requirement for native bands to post all their costs and expenses online so govt auditors can see at a glance what is happening on the reserve! Having such a system in place might have deterred this native thief and saved him a trial and disgrace! Having such a system in place might also have deterred the Atiwapiskat Band Council from burning through $150 million dollars of tax money without leaving a single receipt behind to show where the money went! As the money was earmarked for building houses and not a single house was built- and there are NO receipts for other spending- the cynic must assume that a CRIME has been committed by Atiwapiskat band council! And it is THEFT THAT LIE-BERALS ARE IGNORING!!!!)

Must have served in or near U.S. forces.

The USAAF was famous for bombing Allied positions.

worthless rebuttal to post an american article, when the topic is about a canadian shooting at danforth.
Well, when it comes to beer, the only thing we get is shouting out about those "LIE-BERALS" and not much on the subject of gun-control. Everyone has their opinions here and how many others shout and fill up so much space with every other subject but what the thread was about. Obviously I guess the nurse becomng and the young school girl should have been armed to defend themselves.

Since you derailed the books are still audited but away from the band members and taxpayers fingertips, we are told that the bands review the income statements at their annual meetings with the rest of the band and it is none of the taxpayers business what the money is being spent on.

Do you want to claim the government should never confiscate a gun?

and now US army bases have no armed soldiers on them.

wtf is wrong with you knuckleheads?

not a one of you has ever been on a US army base - obviously.

your need for reality to conform to your personal delusions is getting tiresome

Very few. MPs, sentries, and anybody who is currently training with guns.

I'd say on a average working base, at any time less than 5% of the soldiers are armed.

Less on Navy and Air Force bases.

Used to carry a grease gun, on some watches. I had the slickest draw ...

Interesting article on global news tonight about 3D guns. Seems some well meaning but not very bright people think they can pass a lay prohibiting anyone from putting the plansfor a 3D gun on the internet.

there are over 50,000 men at Fort Hood - so 5% would be 2,500

so a mere 2,500 armed soldiers at any one time.

federal judge in Seattle issues temp restraining order blocking release of downloadable blueprints for guns by a Texas company.

8 state AGs are suing the feds for the deal they made to allow the release of this very questionable technology

the NRA remains silent
