The crimes of the Bush regime are just the results of the American crimes of the last eight decades, even if every Bush supporter were convicted and imprisoned and their assets siezed it could not begin to address the destruction caused by the empire.
Actually Ontario would be shivering in the dark if Canada ceased trading with the US. Most of our electricity comes from the US. Our economy is dependant on trade with the US. Like them or hate them, we are in bed with them and we have no choice but to do business with them and vice versa.
That said, most Americans despise Bush and always have. But not enough of them got off their asses to vote against the neocons until recently. Most Americans I know are honest, moral, decent people. Their government sucks, but hey so does ours.
I think it would be pointless and stupid to punish Americans for not doing enough to stop the likes of Bush. What would be more worthwhile would be to post on American websites demanding they hold their war criminals responsible for their crimes. Point out that the Iraq invasion was an unjustified war crimes which has resulted in a million violent deaths and displaced about 5 million people. Once Americans realize the truth about the Bush Administration, their consciences will guide them.

It would be pointless and stupid to simple punish past crimes but it would be worse to allow them to continue unchecked expansion and war. There is nothing the American people can do EAO they are in total control of their elite and blissfully unaware of their near future. When they are hungry and cold they will go to war for those same elite by the millions to win back what they never had, we will be their victims of choice one day soon.
