Some, yes...but look at the first ten or fifteen countries on the list.
What do they have in common? There is a pattern...

Ron... I have deduced this most perplexing riddle:

The answer to your query is as such.... Among the most happiest places on Earth, the common factor that they share upon which you ponder is that none of these nations - in any way, shape or form - have the NDP or Liberal Party of Canada involved in their federal or jurisdictional levels of gvt.

I hope that this clears things up for you.

You may thank me later if you wish... I always find that a 40 of rye is an excellent way to express one's gratitude

That's definitely got to be it! (Especially as 90% of the populace doesn't give a sh*t about politics)-:)

You might be onto something (thinking outside the box, etc...).

I just checked, and of the top 25 countries on that list, 19/25 have their coinage
struck at the Canadian Mint in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Hmmm....Where's my tin foil
hat?

Tin foil is useless, you want brass mesh.

The Japanese have a new model out. Comes with earflaps, full facial coverage, a wave blocker and most important a propeller, with sharpened blades on top to deflect and stop people from patting you on the head.
The latter protects a person’s self confidence when wearing such apparel in public.

This fellow apparently was fed up:
Ohio mosque arsonist says he was under influence of Fox News
During the court proceedings, Judge Jack Zouhary asked Linn if he knew any Muslims or knew what Islam was about.

"No, I only know what I hear on Fox news and what I hear on [right-wing talk] radio," Linn replied.

"Muslims are killing Americans and trying to blow stuff up," Linn told the judge. "Most Muslims are terrorists and don't believe in Jesus Christ," Linn falsely stated, ignorant of the fact that Jesus is revered as a prophet in Islam.

...

It's always someone else's fault. May as well make it Fox News today.

They don't believe in Jesus Christ the savior son of God.

They believe in Jesus Christ the prophet of Allah.

Not the same context.

hhmm Looks to me as if Petros' list of countries shows the countries with the lower cost of living and other such economic factors have generally happier people (with a few exceptions). But what's this doing in Colpy's rant-about-Islam thread?

Cheap homes, cheap food from local resources and decent health access makes life good.

With less stress there is more time to boink and the boinking is better too.

If some of those countries at the top of the list got some snow sometimes, w'd not mind selling the farm and moving there and say "to hell" with the commercialism/consumerism countries. Costa Rica is a nice backyard and so is Belize. We want to check out more South Am spots, too.
