I would have let this fairly inane and poorly argued post pass right on buy.

Adriatik; it seems, feels that his vast intellect allows him to decide who's opinions are valid and who's are not.
On the internet yet, a place where free speech, lively discussions and heated debates are encouraged.
Better yet on a discussion board of all places.
Only the "left wing" as defined by Adratic's opinions are allowed an opinion or voice.
Can you please explain to me what exactly the left wing is defined by?
Socialism, Marxism, Leninism, Anarchists, Collectivism, Agrarianism, Eco-socialism, Feminism, Nihilism, Leftist Libertarians, Progressivism, Christian Socialism, Islamic Socialism.....and on and on ad-infinitum.
Any chance you can tighten up that "box" you have constructed?

Trex - I think you probably spoke more intelligence in one sentence than Adriatik spoke in his entire tirade. AS I've said before there is very little difference in Political parties (both Liberals and N.D.P. are willing to bunk down with the Bloc (heads). They are all tarred with same brush- in pursuit of wealth and fame. The only thing worse than a left or right wing is a fanatic.

They have little (if any)corporate responsibility to their employees, their community or their country. If they can save a buck by moving their "business" elsewhere, they would be gone in a heartbeat.
Business pay far less taxes than is even reasonable to comprehend. "Big" business pays less than 10% of their profit and even then can pay out a dividend to shareholders and pay virtually nothing. They should have a "base" tax of 20% on revenues, not profit. If they are not efficient turning revenue into profit, then they have no reason being in business

I agree the politicians are an embarrassment to all Canadians. They can't even hold a government together. In their short term as the government, they have run to the polls and the moment they think they can hold onto power.
Now that they have tanked the economy, rather than taking steps to turn things around, they attempt to gut funding that the other parties depend on at the moment. Rather than building a cohesive Parliament to get the work of the people done, they secretly record the telephone conversations in hopes of blackmailing political opponents with trumped up charges.
That's a tyrant that does that. These dogs that come snarling out from under a rock now show exactly what these Neocons are made of and what they want. Power to inflict their own ideals on others and to tear apart the notion of equality and fair play that Canada was built upon.

And yet in granting all these rights to many segments of society, yet there is no consideration given to the rights of a future for the unborn fetus. A little hypocrisy perhaps!
