The last I heard there were a couple fairly significant breakthoughs in cancer research lately.
At any rate, I'd be happy to accept money from wherever I could if I had a charity. I cannot see the big deal.
I bet the Dippers n Glibs are secretly kicking themselves that they did not think of this earlier than the Cons.

Yeah, I think you have it pegged, Anna.....................................sour grapes! :)

Possibly there's been great advances in Chemo therapy in the past 20 years or so. It's not nearly as toxic now plus the fact is they are better at figuring the correct recipe for each individual patient. My cousin came down with bladder cancer about 3 years ago which I heard through the grape vine was terminal. Now it's all but completely disappeared, but he is still getting treatment.

What's the positive part? Cancer research is one of the cruelest frauds ever perpetrated. Not one damn thing been done about the rise of cancer and there's a dozen and more natural herbals that get nothing from funding. Everything except big pharma is closed out of the loop.

The positive part is that millions of voters believe and the conservatives prove that they are not against science or research by funding a popular(lost) cause.

Sounds resonable to me positive is good and infectious and we don't have to account for the programes efficacy cuz we're just the government, science is godly. Let them get on with the work, good things ahead. The cure for cancer will trickle out. when we find a cure for money. Cancer is a business, and it is a free market for inovative people and a renewable resource worth billions. What's the research going to propose. That's right, further research in cutting edge miniscule lurches of moving forward agonizing inchs of getting closer. Science fiction earns more than science, demonstratably it duz. GMO is revolutionizing the cancer industry, talk about a research break through. Monsanto probably has built the pillfix. Inovation and research lead industry to ever productive hieghts. We should just have faith in our ministers and their ministers. That was only a couple of tokes. I think it was worth the 190.00. Oh I see you didn't really ask a question. Just forget it, sorry about wasteing your time by wasteing my time. If there's nothing else you want to talk about I think I'll go get some beer.

alberta/B.C.
what bad taste, and should be embarrassing to the Conservative party.
how we distinguish this behaviour of "tagging" and association in Alberta,we have given it a name,it is called political "wh oring",its common,or may i say it was more then common for the conservative party to use this method here in Alberta.
i remember in the 90's how the conservative party would manipulate people of influence and power in rural communities, this method is called the whiskey and water syndrome, appoint them to their boards, etc.
the spin off is the same as using terry fox's legacy for the conservative party.
sounds like Mr.Muir is desperate and of ill character.

So has the ol stocker apologized for this yet?

I suppose he will when the Terry Fox Foundation goes back in time and doesn't ask for their help in return for a speaking opportunity.

But here, in this, the, real world, you don't apologize for a confusion caused by someone else.
