To Cliffy's defense I'd have to disagree with that. His message has pretty well been constant in the 7 years I've been on the forum. He'd be perfect if he'd just quit beating up on Harper.

Oh he has been pretty consistent in claiming himself to be neutral but his posts say he is so far from it.

My problem, however, is that this is just one in a series of polls. Most polls show, as of now, a tie between the reds and blues. That said, pollsters have been pretty inaccurate in the last few elections - remember the prediction for Christie Clark ? - so I'll adopt a skeptical view.

Actually the NDP is far more of a threat to us in heavy construction simply because the NDP has been against every major project that our members depend on for work. While Harper may be somewhat anti union at nleast he will keep us employed. There is no future for a union workforce with no work.

Meh ... they're only against it 'cuz the Conz are for it. It's all part of the political drama that hides what really goes on behind the scenes. If they're in, they'll be doing exactly the same things. You don't really think any political party calls the shots do you?

That sounds about right. In 25 plus years of my membership with a union they bent over backwards protecting members that didn't do any of it!
