Two of the funniest scenes ever were in Weekend at Bernie's.
One of my favourites was What About Bob - Bill Murry. Hysterical!

"Spinal Tap" is a classic. They poked a little fun at The Beatles, so you might miss some of the humour if you don't know much Beatles' background.

Monty Python is also good.
"Salad Days", in which they exaggerate so many injuries and blood is spurting everywhere is funny.

A couple recent movies I liked were "Old School" with Will Ferrell, and "Team America. World Police", with the marionettes.

From "Old School", the scene from the dart in the neck to the mouth-to-mouth resuscitation cracked me up.

I hadn't expected to like "Team America" so much; a friend convinced me to go. I didn't think a movie using marionettes would be very good. But they sure packed a lot into it. It helps if you know about the old show "The Thunderbirds" as well as current affairs. For example, they base some humour on North Korea's prime minister Kim Yong Il, UN weapons inspector Hans Blix, etc. The sex scene is hilarious and so is the vomiting in the alley scene. The song lyrics are pretty funny too (I hadn't paid attention to them the first time I saw the movie, but if you listen to them, they poke fun at a few other people too). I almost choked on my popcorn the first time I saw this movie I was laughing so hard.

Keep in mind, these movies are NOT for children, so make sure the kids are out of the room before watching them.

For me, it's a tossup between a few of the Pink Panther movies (with Sellers, not Martin), "The Gods Must Be Crazy", or "Weekend at Bernie's".
Those religious movies are a hoot, too. Especially the ones with Charlten Histin (or whatever his name is) in them.

I loved Peter Sellers!! He was one of my favs....hilarious for sure! I think I saw all his movies.....he was a natural!!

Have you seen the movie "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers". It seems he was embarrassed by the Pink Panther films. The Party was a classic.

I just saw Hot Fuzz recently. Absolutely brilliant.

Woody Allen's Everything You Wanted To Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask was a good laugh and Borat was probably one of the best in recent years.

"They were just a couple of losers from Queens... until they
dialed a wrong number and got the mob! 8O"

Hot Fuzz was one of the better movies I've seen in a long
time too!

The Blues Brothers - the film I've seen most often. It's daft, but it makes me laugh and the music is great.

The Ladykillers - the original Ealing comedy from 1955, with Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers and Herbert Lom.

Kind Hearts and Coronets - another classic Ealing comedy with Alec Guinness playing eight members of the D'Ascoyne family.

The Producers - original film from 1968 with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel.
The musical version of The Producers was much better on stage than the 2005 movie.
I saw it on stage in the West End of London, when Lee Evans was playing Leo Bloom, and he was much better and funnier than Matthew Broderick in the 2005 movie, even though Broderick played Leo Bloom on Broadway.

Other great comedies:
Airplane!
Monty Python's Life of Brian
Stir Crazy
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
How to Murder Your Wife (Jack Lemon, Terry-Thomas, Vima Lisi and the infamous "Gloppitta-Gloppitta Machine")
Some Like it Hot
Monsters Inc.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
