The NRA doesn't dictate anything.

Right now.....Congress is owned by NRA. NRA has a lot of authority on the USG. The NRA paid millions for that influence. MONEY : is power in Washington.

that power might not last with a change in regime........ but for now that is where it i;s.

The POTUS is in a defining moment...........does he have the guts to stand up to the NRA

BUT............if he needs to carry a cue card to remind him to listen.......... one can't help but be skeptical.

Did you all see that card in his hands during the listening session.?? Saw a close up of it.

We are probably worse than them if we beat the US in the number of guns to gun crime ratio.

Nonsence. We count for nothing on the Prick scale. Our armed forces cannot occupy nor control Canada. A mark of our peculiar station.
#1 on the free scale, regional differenceas have been transended, I will someday present myswelf as candidate for premium minister.

Sorry, but that it is not true.

Here's a claim: FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover ordered JFK killed.

In order to be taken seriously, I would have to provide iron clad proof of my claim. You seem to be the victim of a media statement exaggerating the power of the NRA. The NRA has long been the target of angry people looking to blame someone or something. Firearms are an easy target.

They are low on the list of organizations paying for, and lobbying in Washington. Here s their listing.

Try again.

Actually Congress has many owners. That was what the tax cut was all about. That was for all the people who control the levers of power.

Nice try, Flossy. If you want to debate, choose a side and develop an argument that supports your belief.

If you haven't discussed how to debate yet, ask one of your teachers for help.

No one owns Congress. Don't be so desperate, grasping at straws, to believe a 14 yr old.

The closest to an owner would be US citizens.

Trump says arming teachers could prevent school massacres

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/02/trump-says-arming-teachers-prevent-school-massacres/

Is their job to TEACH or play security guard?? "

Ridiculous idea........ promoted by NRA

There were some good ideas during the "listening" session with Trump.

Perhaps Trump should not have reverse the law about people with mental illness and gun purchases.

***
CNN reporting: NRA released a statement indicating that changing the age of persons buying guns would not be a good idea.

Gee what a surprise. It is a message to Trump about who contributed millions to his coffers.

Shame on America........Your guns are more important than kids, pre adults, and people in general. Guns for "self defense".......... shootings of all kinds..........Guns for self defense from the shootings.......... more shootings as access to guns is so easy..........and the cycle of violence is established ......with the NRA's support and encouragement.

DEMANDING ACTION............is not enough...........without saying WHAT KIND OF ACTION. The gov't ,the NRA and other dinosaurs need diagrams.

IF anything changes.......it will be a mere bone tossed to the peons.

Credit to Trump for at least having a listening session..........Now lets see what he does.
You need a reality check. Everything you propose or echo will only make things more difficult for law abiding citizens while criminals and crazies will ignore the laws because that is what they do.
Pretty much every week a shooting happens in the Vancouver area and none of those guns are legal.FOr that matter few of the victims are law abiding citizens either.

Its a good question - I wonder if they ever really do. I think basically everything just runs itself.

He should listen to the NRA as they are the voice of reason in this while the anti gun crowd is made up mostly of hysterical women and fascists.

True. But the owners are the electorate. Fortunately most of them are not batshitcrazy or the economy would be a disaster.

It's like this per 100,000 people Canada has 1/3 as many guns as the US but almost half as many gun homicides.

That's scary.

Florida Teachers' Pension Fund Is Long on AR-15 Gunmaker Stock

In other words, as Bloomberg puts it, "as Florida teachers grieve over the mass shooting that left 17 students and colleagues dead last week, some of them may be surprised to learn they’ve been helping fund the firearms industry—including the company that made the gun used that bloody Wednesday."
https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-02-20/florida-teachers-pension-fund-long-ar-15-gunmaker-stock

lol
gunhaters gotta problem here.

Teachers have a greed thing going on when it comes to "money or kids", they usually take the money.
I know because one side of my family are all teachers, and back in the day they and half the high school staff used to drink friday lunches at the hotel I worked at as an older student.

They didn't tip worth crap and were VERY demanding.

Anyone watching the Town hall meeting ?? The young adults are very impressive, articulate and are asking very direct questions. Many of them dealing with how the NRA (money) influences how little s done re: gun control.

They are pinning people like Rubio down and not letting them get away with the usual political BS

Some of these young adults are better spoken than the politicians........

And they are not afraid to be pointed and direct.

One student asked Rubio if he will say NO to NRA money

He tried the usual spin ......but was not allowed to get away with it/

Just wonderful.
