Actually, he's likely one of the better Presidents in recent history. Biden on the other hand, is destroying the economy & the country in very short order. Something that they claimed that Trump would do - an obvious error in assumptions!! Gotta give the guy credit for doing what he said he was going to do!!

True, although some of trump's tweets and such did have real world consequences. He says 'toyota sucks' and toyota shares drop the next day. And while much of it was absolutely hilarious in some respects it did foster divisions. It didn't create those divisions, that happened much earlier, but it certainly didn't do anything to mend them either.
Trudeau rode a wave of discontent, the "solution" to widespread dissatisfaction with the Harper government. There was no populism involved, at the time he was simply a more popular choice. All he had to do was be there. One could argue that the same situation applies for PP, but the populism angle refers more to his method. He is astute in picking out the hot-button concerns for voters and claims to offer a solution without actually offering a solution. What he really is offering is old school conservative tenets of lower taxes and smaller government saying where he intends to make the cuts necessary to acheive those goals.
In my perfect little dream world the goal of any elected official, either in power or in opposition, would be to make life better for Canadians. If the CPC has a better idea there would still be some degree of victory in having the Liberals adopt that idea if victory is all that's important to them.
PP is riding a wave of discontent, the solution to widespread dissattisfaction with the TrueDope government. It's virtually the same thing except TrueDope is running scared and is throwing the term around to try and make people scared. But being hypocritical is something this government is good at so this does not surprise.

IF all voters felt that way, we wouldn't have a problem. Unfortunately the voters consistently reward the party that does it, not the party that thinks of it. The only exception is tommy douglas and "universal health care", I think Jaggers is hoping that dental will be the same for him. It won't.

I agree. The Republicans need to start fighting back because they will NEVER get the "respect" from the MSM, no matter what they say or do. Republicans have to ignore what the MSM are saying which are generally lies about what Republicans stand for and they need start fighting back by telling people what they will do instead to help people. They can't run an oppositional campaign simply telling people why the Dems are not who they deserve but why the Republicans are.
Regarding CPP contributions, at what point is enough? How much more are we expected to pay into the CPP off of one's pay cheque and for employers to do the same? How much is enough?
