Gun Control is Completely Useless.

I have to side with bluebird.
Warfarin was designed for the sole purpose of killing rats. Therefore anyone who now uses it to thin their blood ( preventing heartattack and stroke) has no claim to justify their use of warfarin.

I'm less worried about the people blue wants to take guns away from than I am about the people she wants to let keep 'em.

Yes,but just like her war against drugs, restricting the rights of law abiding people will inevitably end in a reduction of criminals.

Shush! I've already worked out the flight plans for the coke-running planes from Peru to pick up a shipment of Tauruses from Brazil, all in one trip.

Northern Ontario,
Cars are invented and used for traveling, Swimming pools are produced to swim. Hammers are used to hit nails, All those are tools but none has their first purpose to kill.
So if you die in a car or drown or get hit with a hammer.....you're not quite as dead as if you are shot....
Don't forget that revelation folks..
You got to believe the girl...she goes to Florida and Europe so she knows better......

I grew up with guns (large and small); they were mostly used for hunting, but also for practice shooting. In my opinion, people should be allowed to own guns, because the issue is not owing guns; it's the 'who and the what for' that's the issue!! The handgun debates are valid because by logic it would decrease some types of shootings by fact of size. It would be difficult to bring large guns in mall, walk down streets, public places, without being spotted. Handguns should be registered and maybe kept at shooting ranges for avid collectors. There will always be scumbags who ruin things for others. Maybe 'The Donald" can stop worrying about a Mexican wall and add more border guards or something to stop the influx of illegal guns (mostly handguns) into Canada. We now have whole communities here in Toronto that have illegal guns, and they don't seem to have smuggled them in for moose hunting.

Quite right....It is people with guns who kill people.

An argument between people is just an argument. In many cases an argument between people with access to a gun kills people.

A five day waiting period for a gun results in less suicides by guns.

The US has more guns per capita in the world, they also have the most deaths by guns in the world.

I call BULL$HYTE!!

Number of countries with a higher gun death rate than the United States (all causes): 12
Number of countries with a higher gun death rate than the United States (homicide): 17
Number of countries with a higher gun death rate than the United States (unintentional): 11

The United States has the highest gun death rate due to suicide.

A person who wants to kill, will kill regardless of the devices they have access too, or laws put into place of their country...

You can talk about the States all you want to there hunny, but the fact is i live in Canada and in Canada there isnt a problem with guns and murders... So go to an American forum and cry around there...

Unless you want to talk about Toronto going all Gangsta using illegal firearms... Which goes back to my first point in this post. And that point is that people will kill regardless of the devices they have access too, and the laws in place.

Toronto gun homicides rise 200% this year, police say - Toronto - CBC News

He acknowledged that many shootings in the city could involve street gangs and people who have criminal lifestyles.

Using guns they got from America, but hold on....

The guns may be stolen, loaned for specific reasons, bought and sold, or may be coming in from the U.S., he said.

Now before you think i contradict myself just remember this, they're(the guns) are coming to us through the "black market", ever hear about it?? Its going to exist no matter where guns are outlawed.. So quite being dense...

Now you said...

In many cases an argument between people with access to a gun kills people.

I take offense to your stupidity and i hope your just trolling... My Father who is a law abiding, tax paying citizen and a good parent had arguments with my mother while i was growing up... Its natural in relationships... She is not dead and she is happy being married to my Father and they are going on a vacation very soon, i hope they have fun...

Never once did he threaten her at all, let alone try to kill her with a gun...

My brother is a gun owner also, restricted and all and we argue all the time.... He never once tried killing me with his guns because he is a sane person and responsible owner also...

My friend a gun owner who... well never mind if you cant see the picture here your denser than Osmium....

I my self am not a gun owner and i feel safe around guns... Just because you don't understand fire arms doesn't mean your hysterical assumptions are a clear indicator of reality....

'We taught our two-and-a-half-year-old how to shoot';
Alberta mom posts pic of toddler with BB gun to Facebook
Postmedia Network

AIRDRIE, Alta. -- An Alberta mom who posted a photo of her two-and-a-half-year-old son posing with a BB gun on Facebook is glad it's stirred debate but stands by it.
Cindy Pachal-O'hara of Airdrie posted the photo of little Jaxson, wearing a droopy onesie, posing with the gun on June 4.
The photo's caption read "wow we taught our two-and-a-half-year-old how to shoot today. He did great."
She said she posted the photo to Facebook to see what other parents thought.
"I wanted other mom's opinions," she said.
And she got them. One even called the RCMP on her.
But as many as attacked her on social media for being an irresponsible mom, she said she also appreciated the many supportive messages.
"I was taught at an extremely young age all about guns. I think it's an awesome idea to teach your kids as young as you can!" commented one user, Jessika Pittman.
Pachal-O'hara said she is fine with the debate, and is taking the attacks on her parenting in stride -- it's social media, after all, the stay-at-home mom said.
"We've started to have a real conversation about (gun safety)," she said. "I totally understand both sides of it, and I don't take offence."
Pachal-O'hara said it started when Jaxson wanted to play with some of the older boys who were shooting gophers and targets at a local acreage. That's when she gave him the gun to hold.
"We were showing him how to hold it and how to use it."
She felt safe posing him for the photo, she said, because the old BB gun is actually broken and doesn't shoot.
That didn't matter to many who weighed in on the debate.
"Sorry people, but guns in the hands of children are not safe no matter the argument. Children as young as the one in this photo simply aren't equipped mentally to understand the dangers and consequences," commented a user named Dan Brown.

Well, you can post all the stats you want but they mean nothing, if you persist on comparing oranges & apples. . Comparing a democracy with a dictatorship, or comparing a country with no laws whatever, with one that has a fair decent justice system. Comparing countries with wild west tendencies before instituting gun control and then those same countries after, that is acceptable.

It is not really much of an argument when comparing the most powerful nation in the world with the lowest common denominators.

Since this morning's mass shooting in Florida killed more than 20, isn't it time to dumb down the fear of one's own government to act with common sense??

One off's don't support your agenda. Using them to support your agenda only shows how weak your argument is.
