Once again ......try reading what is written! What I posted was:-There are no canadian laws in the usa. Yet the infant drownings are even higher than bbird's paradise.
"Now I will address the cherry picking. Who cherry picks stats that mean zip....you and others like you who want Canada to adopt the US laws,"
And of course with Canadian laws, why shouldn't there be more infant drownings than shootings, Now it is time to enforce the swimming pool laws. Of course there will be accidents.
The point of safety laws is to prevent as many of those accidents as possible.
It is the right of Canadians to buy alcohol and cigarettes, chewing tobacco etc. But like the gun laws, there are laws to protect children. That does not prevent children becoming drug addicts, smoking or drinking when they can get access to cigarettes, alcohol, or drugs.If you own guns in this country, and that is important to you, you have only one friend in Parliament; the Conservative Party of Canada
This past weekend a motion was passed modifying the CPC Policy on firearms ownership;
"A Conservative Government will not deprive Canadian Citizens of legally owned firearms"
"A Conservative Government recognizes that civilian firearms ownership is a Canadian Heritage."
"A Conservative Government would streamline Firearms classification by adopting the Simplified Classification System"
"A Conservative Government would order a review of firearms related laws to identify parts that have no public safety value."
The motion passed with near 100% support from the membership.
Personally, I would not teach my children to smoke safely, use drugs safely nor drink alcohol safely, because with children there is no "Safely" until they have developed enough brain power to see the consequences of their actions. With some people this extends to the mid-twenties.
