No in the US.

T-Bones was simply saying our crooks only use the finest firearms on our rampages here in the US.
Oh.
Elitist crooks using that fancy, European, exotic muscle, huh? Cool
Here in lil ol Canuckville, folks even make their own sometimes.

You can pass all the laws you want but it's only the ones you can enforce that mean anything!
What are you talking about?? The UK??? Nope, as usual you attribute statements, to me I did not espouse. Now Australia on the other hand proved that better gun control does work.

You cannot prove a negative you know. The low rate of gun violence stayed low. What comparison are you trying to make with the medical profession and declaring cures?? The differences between countries with good gun control laws have lower rates of gun violence. The stats prove it.

No we enforce the gun laws we already have. Not invent more laws that only law abiding citizens will pay attention to anyhow and pay for.
LOL For goodness sake, first you complain about the Canadian authorities actually enforcing the gun laws (confiscating guns etc.) and now you say they are not enforcing them.

Maybe Canada should go along with the suggestion one US politician made.......erecting a wall between the US and Canada to stop terrorist from entering the US. What a great way to stop the illegal guns entering Canada from the US.

About the only guns that our government stole were formerly legal registered ones. AFTER they were registered the government of the day changed the rules and stole the guns. WHich is what they intended to do all along, as soon as they knew where most of the guns were. That is our biggest beef with the long gun registry, the change of rules after the fact.

LOL The link you gave is to this thread?? Nah doesn't wash, Try again.

On the other hand don't bother. I admit we have nut cases just like everywhere else in the world, but generally speaking access to guns is limited because of our laws. Of course some slip through the cracks, and some parents do not secure the guns as they are supposed to.

Geez is my Alzheimer's that far out of control? I have absolutely no recollection of ever comparing gun control to the medical profession & declaring cures. Now you have me worrying!

WHat link?I was merely responding to your half baked statements.
Using my pc on one knee while watching TV, sometimes hitting a" post quick reply " doesn't always go through. I am quitting for tonight as the program is more far more interesting. Go back a few posts and match up my replies to the original posts.

bluebyrd, if Europe has wonderful reports on how blue pumpkin seeds lower the blood sugar of diabetic patients, would you recommend that a patient takes them blindly or would you follow up and monitor the treatment to make sure it is effective? Ofcourse, you wouldn't take Europes word as absolute. You would continue to test and monitor the blood sugar levels.

So now what if you found that after 35 years of blue pumpkin seeds NOT helping people in your home town. Would maintain a stubborn beligerant attitude and say crap like "I don't care what your results are, Europe has proven that it is good for your blood sugar"

Imo, that is what you are doing in this debate. You keep insisting that gun control is good for Canadians, based on how bad the USA is, and how good the UK is, but you have no Canadian evidence that it has helped over the past 35 years.

If you were following the thread you would see that the story came from a Canadian Forum Member talking about an experience he had in Canada with a fellow Canadian who went on a Canadian style rampage.

So the link was accurate and you can lick my red, white, and blue Merican sack.

Northern Ontario,
You can only ban things that were invented for killing......it doesn't matter how many people are killed with other things, it doesn't count because they were made for another purpose .

But we all agree that it is best for a law abiding citizen to remain unarmed while defending against an armed bad guy?

Yes it does!! If you cannot tell the difference between the discovery of fire for heating and cooking, and a club for swatting your neighbor over the head, then we are lucky there were many who could. It is the difference between a caveman and a spaceman.

No, it depends on how civilized and evolved one is. And actually statistics prove it is more likely one will survive being unarmed than armed in a confrontation with someone who is armed.

Tell that to the families of all the mass murders. How about the two honor guards that were murdered by a loony toons in the parliament buildings? Had they been armed one or both would still be alive.
