It also comes under International Law as being called a `double tap`. You first create some causalities (fake is the norm) and then when rescue comes you kill them also. That is a war crime no matter where you are. The last big one was at a University in Syria, a small missile creates some causalities and then 10 minutes later the same spot is hit with another missile but 2x as big as the first one. It is probably still on youtube and the only one in that area capable of doing that is Israel.
Targeting families of Hamas members means love for family will keep the most qualified when their ranks should be bankers and lawyers and doctors and teachers. How much respect should I give to somebody who demands all those things for itself but denies the same rights to those in Gaza in the extreme and the rest of the world to a degree or their would be no need for dual citizenship. Most would call it being a Traitor but then lying is part of the overall package. Too bad the lies are so poorly constructed and the events are still fresh in everyone`s mind. 2114 will be when this passes as the truth and there is no dispute. Till then I don`t mind pointing out the weak links.

yeah, I know exactly what it was...and the ukraine snipe-in-the-back vid from a couple months ago is on liveleak...my point was it's a cowardly way to kill to enemy (as it's been done for ages) and if it was an israeli sniper (pretty much impossibru to proove), that their stock just dropped another notch...if it was a buckaroo joo or even another 'stiniane making trouble, it's just as sh!tty.

At 7:54 the device on the ground explodes. Do you think the man had enough of being a `freedom fighter. Different war but this is your version of democracy at work in the Ukraine and that gets a 2 thumbs up from you and the usual suspects. Yet a model rocket shot into the deserts of southern Israel is a life-threatening event for the whole of Israel. Considering the evil done against them sending one off into the desert should be something that would be where you could buy fireworks and then a trained person sets it up so it can be fired into the right area. I`m thinking that the fireworks display would surpass any set off for any reason in the whole world. And it would be fully justified.

Blah, blah, blah... I can't be bothered with responding in kind to your plethora of excuses and moaning. Nothing but whining and excuses on the issue of Hamas deliberately putting kids front and center, in harms way.
Having a child in Gaza is putting it in harms way. If you want fewer children let the adults watch TV long into the night and they might not have that extra child.

... And that is all that this issue is to me at this point... I couldn't care less about who owns what, or whether Timmy got a bigger piece of cake than Tommy... This, to me is solely about the obligation that a society has towards protecting their children
Hamas is following the will of the adults of Gaza. They are not to allow the `right to return`to be removed from being the number one demand that must be met by the Jewish Government of Israel. All the implosions in Arab Nations have been caused by America and Israel. It only takes a few examples to show how the moderates rule (Iran) and the radicals (Saudi Arabia) to see that `left to their own devices`Iran could have surpassed Kuwait in riches and the UN documents were already being implemented in 1953 so they are quick to adopt new trends if it helps the poorest of the people. All the cities operate in the 21st century and thanks to wireless and off the grid power that level of living can be brought to the smallest village in the wilderness areas. The only ones resistant that is the `civilized West

As far as the ridiculous comment about 'taking away Israels armor ' - I suppose that there is no form of logic to an ideologue such as yourself that Hamas acquire it's own armor?
Do you think their current batch of rockets is sent into Israel without a warhead by accident or they are unaware of that component in a machine of war. Let them have cloth and string and they might even build a parachute so it gently lands beside an Israeli instead that being `startled`results in a whole block in Gaza being flattened, during lunch-hour only add to the `how can we make it the cruelest possible` factor that seems to be the norm for Israel.

They wanna fight, then roll up your sleeves and get to it, but stop the incessant bitching that life ain't fair 'cause they want to take on a fight in which the cards are stacked way against them.
They had all their cards taken away by Israel, along with a whole list of other things. A list they always refuse to publish. Easy to see who is the child in the situation once you compare it to the UN documents that she said she would follow. Is it poor reading skills or poor comprehension that the world suffers from

UN Chief: 'Israel Could Be Guilty Of War Crimes' ....Lol, "could be guilty". More like "definitely guilty"

‘I would fire rockets at Israel,’ tweets British MP

A British member of parliament was criticized Wednesday for tweeting that he would fire rockets at Israel if he lived in Palestinian territory.

“The big question is - if I lived in Gaza would I fire a rocket? - probably yes,” Liberal Democrat member of parliament David Ward tweeted.

Bloody liberals. Always have been troublemakers.

I look forward to seeing Mr Ward's mob get wiped out at the 2015 General Election.

Well, Hamas should consider removing the kill-all-the-jews part from their charter if they want any sympathy from me. I mean, that's evil enough to start with, but to have that in your charter when you have the equivalent of a bucket of stale popcorn as your weaponry is just plain stupid. Seriously, how many times do you have to watch Pee Wee Herman walk into the ring with Mike Tyson before you just yell out "Stay down you idjit!"

As for Israel, I just get sick of listening to their endless moralizing, hand-wringing and kvetching. They're giving the Palestinians a collective bitch-slap. A vulgar display of power to keep them in place so you can get on with your lives which, unfortuantely, involves moving the Palestinians off their land. Moving the homies out isn't new. We did it fairly recently here in Canada. They rarely go quietly. Sorry if that's news to you, Israel.

Oh right. we DESERVED it.

Go **** yourself, preferrably in some Muslim hellhole.

It requires a certain level of stupidity to support Islamist fanatics against western civilization.

"Western civilization", what a bald faced lie.

Neither of which justifies the insanity of pushing women/children into the Lion's mouth.

The Gazans are surrounded on all sides, it is a ghetto, subjected to Israeli whim, twenty four seven, if Canadians were in the same predicament you would have us lick the boots of the oppressor. Oh Oh Canada

Came here to post this.

My god what a wonderfully written piece.

As a Jewish youngster growing up in Budapest, an infant survivor of the Nazi genocide, I was for years haunted by a question resounding in my brain with such force that sometimes my head would spin: “How was it possible? How could the world have let such horrors happen?”

It was a naïve question, that of a child. I know better now: such is reality. Whether in Vietnam or Rwanda or Syria, humanity stands by either complicitly or unconsciously or helplessly, as it always does. In Gaza today we find ways of justifying the bombing of hospitals, the annihilation of families at dinner, the killing of pre-adolescents playing soccer on a beach.

In Israel-Palestine the powerful party has succeeded in painting itself as the victim, while the ones being killed and maimed become the perpetrators. “They don’t care about life,”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says, abetted by the Obamas and Harpers of this world, “we do.” Netanyahu, you who with surgical precision slaughter innocents, the young and the old, you who have cruelly blockaded Gaza for years, starving it of necessities, you who deprive Palestinians of more and more of their land, their water, their crops, their trees — you care about life?

There is no understanding Gaza out of context — Hamas rockets or unjustifiable terrorist attacks on civilians — and that context is the longest ongoing ethnic cleansing operation in the recent and present centuries, the ongoing attempt to destroy Palestinian nationhood.

The Palestinians use tunnels? So did my heroes, the poorly armed fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto. Unlike Israel, Palestinians lack Apache helicopters, guided drones, jet fighters with bombs, laser-guided artillery. Out of impotent defiance, they fire inept rockets, causing terror for innocent Israelis but rarely physical harm. With such a gross imbalance of power, there is no equivalence of culpability.

Israel wants peace? Perhaps, but as the veteran Israeli journalist Gideon Levy has pointed out, it does not want a just peace. Occupation and creeping annexation, an inhumane blockade, the destruction of olive groves, the arbitrary imprisonment of thousands, torture, daily humiliation of civilians, house demolitions: these are not policies compatible with any desire for a just peace. In Tel Aviv Gideon Levy now moves around with a bodyguard, the price of speaking the truth.

I have visited Gaza and the West Bank. I saw multi-generational Palestinian families weeping in hospitals around the bedsides of their wounded, at the graves of their dead. These are not people who do not care about life. They are like us — Canadians, Jews, like anyone: they celebrate life, family, work, education, food, peace, joy. And they are capable of hatred, they can harbour vengeance in the hearts, just like we can.

One could debate details, historical and current, back and forth. Since my days as a young Zionist and, later, as a member of Jews for a Just Peace, I have often done so. I used to believe that if people knew the facts, they would open to the truth. That, too, was naïve. This issue is far too charged with emotion. As the spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle has pointed out, the accumulated mutual pain in the Middle East is so acute, “a significant part of the population finds itself forced to act it out in an endless cycle of perpetration and retribution.”

“People’s leaders have been misleaders, so they that are led have been confused,” in the words of the prophet Jeremiah. The voices of justice and sanity are not heeded. Netanyahu has his reasons. Harper and Obama have theirs.

And what shall we do, we ordinary people? I pray we can listen to our hearts. My heart tells me that “never again” is not a tribal slogan, that the murder of my grandparents in

Auschwitz does not justify the ongoing dispossession of Palestinians, that justice, truth, peace are not tribal prerogatives. That Israel’s “right to defend itself,” unarguable in principle, does not validate mass killing.

A few days ago I met with one of my dearest friends, a comrade from Zionist days and now professor emeritus at an Israeli university. We spoke of everything but the daily savagery depicted on our TV screens. We both feared the rancour that would arise.

But, I want to say to my friend, can we not be sad together at what that beautiful old dream of Jewish redemption has come to? Can we not grieve the death of innocents? I am sad these days. Can we not at least mourn together?

Of course, this guy is an idiot.

He does, after all, write for the Toronto Star.

Here, I'll let Pat say the rest.....

Oh...enjoy the 30 secs of IDF propaganda at the first... :)

The Israeli Prime Minister has flatly stated that Israel is purposely targeting the civilian population to impose maximum civilian casualties on women and children. He said this when greeting Hilary Clinton to Israel and stated "and you understand why."
.

No he didn't.

Provide a link.

He's an idiot Holocaust surviving self hating Jew?

Hey! Don't put words in my mouth.

I just said "idiot", a PC phrase free of any particular ethnic identification.

Yeah...I saw the UN rep crying about 100 dead children.....meaning, of course 100 dead aged less than 18.

Funny that......the median age in Gaza is 15 years. There are 600 plus dead now in Gaza.

Even if we ignore the fact that some of the "children" killed would be militants (15, 16, 17 year old boys) the death of "children" is extremely disproportionate. Were the IDF seriously targeting civilians, or even ignoring civilian casualties, the death rate of "children" would be AT LEAST three times what it is now.

God, listen to yourself.

Other than Colpy who are you getting your information from? The little bit below is a summation but I don't see where it calls for anybody to die other than the name 'Israel' as created by UN 181. A Government made up up a Jewish majority only becaus the area was depopulated of 650,000 Arabs before any vote took place. The offer of return involved the deported people saying Israel had a right to exist, since they object to UN 181 being 'legal' their complaints should be heard by the ICC, a court system installed with the express purpose of hearing issues that came up because of UN 181. The deported Arabs would not agree to that and they still do not agree to that and that is their reason for 'holding up the peace-talks'. It is the US that keeps any of the 'complaints' from being heard in the ICC so that avenue which should be be busy has yet to hear any complaints. By rights Gaza should have the most (treaty) Lawyers than anybody and the fees from winning cases would carry the cost of the whole Government, the one they currently allowed to have. Hamas was first elected in 1987 and that was after Gaza had been been under Israeli Military Occupation for 20 years. You cannot hold to the old demands without accepting what their solutions were and the land invasion saw an escalation in hostilities so defending yourself is part of the charter. Count the number of missiles that Hamas launched and the number launched and the number claimed to have been launched and they aren't even going to be close to being the same. Saddam was demonized so the public could stomach his overthrow, the war against the Government of Gaza is no different except ecen children are equaled to be a young verion of him and OBL combined so the public can stomach this current campaign. If the cause was just in it's own right you wouldn't need a PR firm to see it to the public.

Charters/Constitutions - Hamas Charter
Commentary - The Hamas Charter
Hamas, a Palestinian Islamist organization, was founded in Gaza in1987 by Shaikh Ahmed Yassin. The organization is best known for its suicide bombings and other attacks mainly directed at Israeli civilians.

Hamas' charter calls for the destruction of the State of Israel and its replacement with a Palestinian Islamic state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean See.

There are documents that expand on article 6 but I don't see an expansion on the destruction part let alone the killing, sorry, extermination by your definition.

The link below is a pdf file of that whole document, feel free to point out that 'demand'. Don't get me wrong I didn't miss the armed resistance part but that document is drawing on events that happened as far back as Nov/47

http://www.palestine-studies.org/files/pdf/jps/1734.pdf

Today the 'resistance' is viewed as being appropriate if you drag them into court and win a big settlement because of the careless way they were treated when documents pointed to a different direction. Gaza can claim those steps were never taken so the 'creation of Israel by passing UN 1981 would be 'reset' or voided all together. That would also call into question the validity of UN 273 that Israel signed as the conditions she accepted in return for the UN accepting her application to be recognized as an independent Nation. (UN 181 stipulates that both Israel and Gaza and the West Bank are all recognized as being independent Nation within 1 full year of UN 181 being signed.) Gaza should have 100 well trained lawyers looking into each of those points, the reason that isn't happening is the cases are a slam dunk, all of them.
Wouldn't that course of action be the one that Hamas should take as it is the only one that ends up with some sort of closure and at the moment they have the legal issues on their side but not the firepower. Gaza isn't going to bargain without it going back to page one. That isn't a terrorist tactic.

He poops Stars of David and just took a dump
