If there were no 'occupied territories' there would be no danger to Israeli children if they were to be wandering around. The whole situation does serve to show how desperate men become to hold onto power that should not be theirs as Arabs should outnumber Jews at the election booths and that determines who the Govt is. The West Bank could have made a deal with Syria for control of the water in the Golan heights and crops that needed less water were moved to Israel where the irrigation could easily handle the fields demand and the crops that needed more water were planted closer to the start of the rivers. That would make the produce available for locals and exports. Israel preferred to take the area by force and whatever they decide to grow is grown and all profits end up in Israel's coffers, that is a war crime and Israel says FU so how much respect do they expect to earn from the locals and the international community? If anti-semitism is a concern then they should be doing less to build it rather than doing more.

Being citizens of that area would allow them to change from the political to corporate roles and they could come up with designs that made the best use of the land based on water availability and that is a talent that could have export potential as permaculture is a fledgling industry

I can compare it tho the RCMP having squad cars that get blown up by jet-flighters coming from Cold-lake because of 'some dispute' where the police have handguns (by design) and Cold-Lake has the best war machines money can buy just to keep the rebels (RCMP) in Edmonton penned up. Clearly if it takes the whole Province to do that then they are not really up to the task.

Depends, a rocket scientist knows when to step back, an artist also steps back every now and then yet they are for different reasons. Obviously physically removing your body from Gaza soil would be 'healthy'. You do not ever step back because that is the only way to see the events and how they fit into the big picture as clearly as possible. Each time you move forward for a closer look you also make the big picture clearer.
The end result is that they must assume a direct and primary element of responsibility for the collateral damage in these exchanges.

Would calling a world-wide boycott on German manufactured goods be equal to firing off a rocket (minus the warhead) by Hamas at Israel? The level of retaliation in Gaza is real and recorded so proof is available, things didn't go so well for the Jews once German started using 'muscle' instead of industrial means to 'get ahead'.
If the current Gov is generations away from those days why are they mentioned so often and only when it justifies Israel carrying out the same type of action that they complain about when they are the victim.
