seems there are a bunch of us who aren't and we range in polarities tooI am not looking for proof. Those that are, well if they do not find it during this life, they will in the next.

Das can we have new pictures please when I scrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooll past them they are becoming too familiar now....thanks.
If my posts bother you...go to settings>control panel>edit ignore list.....write my name then click "okay"We get that you don't like people talking about religion/spirituality perhaps this part of the forum should be avoided by you.![]()
the pictures are nice, I love animals, just need a bit of variance. I never place anyone on ignore. Everyone has something to offer in everything they post, it's up to the receiver to filter it. There was a period of time last year when I didn't filter well and thought the poster was the problem. Turns out it was me.I'm glad you noticed.......All those religious and anti-religion posts are the same regurgitated nonsense to me...none of them even come close to being original......so why should I be.

I like the one...What's that quote...? Oh I know..."if you can't be a good example, you will just have to be a horrible warning" love that quote... it's all good Das
I like the one...
"I never make the mistake of arguing with someone whose opinion I don't respect"
It seems that condescending bible thumpers and atheists both try to push their opinion on others........and both have the same old same old arguments I've heard a hundred times before......and while they are both free to post their opposing nonsense, I am also free to mock those posts
Fair enough.I like the one...
"I never make the mistake of arguing with someone whose opinion I don't respect"
Which is why arguing with religious fanatics or anti religion fanatics is a waste....

If god is love then why didn't it communicate with all it's children in all geographical locations in all historical time frames?
Funny how some people put limits on god's love and tolerance. They must think they know god better than he does.He did., but that is blasphemy by some.
Are you looking for proof that God exists? Belief doesn't come through the five senses. In Jesus' day, he performed many miracles before the eyes of many people. Even so, not every person that witnessed these miracles believed what Jesus taught. "Proof" doesn't give birth to faith. Evidence doesn't produce belief. This is in regards to spiritual matters. I am not speaking of chemistry, physics and sciences.

Is the bible anything other than ancient literature about an ancient peoples belief? The bible supposedly spans a time of a few thousand years then all of a sudden like, ends. There is no further appearances or prophesies, nobody who represents, no further discussion... it all just goes silent. Did their god stop caring? Did it stop communicating? And why, in god's name, did it only communicate with a backward tribal peoples in one geographical location in one historical time frame? If god is love then why didn't it communicate with all it's children in all geographical locations in all historical time frames? This whole born again thing wreaks of exclusivity and being "special", which as Freud would say smacks of over compensating for feelings of inadequacy.
Proof? No, I don't think that's possible either way. I'd be interested to see any evidence at all. It's true that absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence, but it is if the evidence ought to be there and it's not. I've seen no evidence or argument in support of the claim that the Abrahamic god at the core of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam exists that doesn't equally apply to any of the thousands of other deities humanity has invented, or doesn't admit of more prosaic explanations.

Have you ever considered that through evolution humans have mostly lost their connection with the sixth sense and there is a methodology within religions to stimulate what little remains?
Ah! I like that one."if you can't be a good example, you will just have to be a horrible warning" love that quote... it's all good Das
and hanging around whining about them is ....... what? lolWhich is why arguing with religious fanatics or anti religion fanatics is a waste....
The 6th one, silly. Not the 2nd or the 18th, but the 6th.What sixth sense would that be?
No, not in those terms. If we've lost touch with this sixth sense, whatever it is, through evolution then clearly either it has no survival value or has negative survival value. It's clear that there are techniques within religions to induce altered states of consciousness, like the auto-hypnotic effect of saying the rosary repeatedly, but that sort of thing is readily explicable in terms of brain function specialisation and differentiation. Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuroscientist who had a major left hemisphere stroke at an early age, has much to say about it in her book, My Stroke of Insight.Have you ever considered that through evolution humans have mostly lost their connection with the sixth sense and there is a methodology within religions to stimulate what little remains?
