Funny how homophobes can tolerate gay women but not men. Our small town is like that. We have a lesbian minister at the United church that no one has a problem with, but if an overtly gay man came to town, I don't think he would make it out alive. Nakusp is a redneck logging town, after all. They tried to run off the hippies in the 70s but as they say around these parts, "redneck hippies shoot back".
