The same day we got a corrupt Canadian one.
There is no way to open the eyes of the delusional. Governments, by their very nature, attract the corrupt. In the west, we are ruled by the corporate elite but those still living in the delusion of freedom and democracy, cannot or will not accept that truth.

Funny how people who have never been to China could believe they actually know China better than people who have actually lived or traveled to China.

Do you not agree that the Chinese government censors all media in China?

If you do not, you need to learn a bit more about China. If you do, then why do you not believe that there is more accurate information outside of China?

I am aware of the Great Firewall of China. I tried going to Amnesty International's website while in China. I got a "page not found" error.

China blocks any content that they believe might undermine the government's authority. Sometimes with ridiculous results. On June 4, 2012, the 23rd anniversary of Tienanmen massacre, the Shanghai stock index coincidentally fell 64.89 points (similar to June 4, 1989). As a result the firewall automatically blocked out access to the Shanghai Stock exchange website...
Even China's stock market can't avoid Tiananmen censoring - CSMonitor.com

The result was to make nearly all Chinese aware of the censorship and wonder "Why 64.89?".

I also watched the Chinese news and found it to be more or less accurate regarding anything that didn't reflect China badly.

Their news coverage of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict was quite different than the pro-Zionist slant so pervasive in our warped version of this conflict. As a result, their news regarding the cconflict was considerably more complete, accurate and informative. Chinese leaders condemned war criminals on both sides of the conflict, and heavily criticized US obstruction of international law.

Chinese news tended to portray the US as inaccurately and unfavorably as the US news portrays China. They portrayed Europe more favorably. But according to the Chinese, China is the best country to live, where people are free and happy... Most Chinese people are aware their news is heavily biased and censored.

China inaccurately portrayed themselves as a force for universal human rights, just like the US.

Most Chinese people know and care little about outside China... just like the US. If you think I'm wrong about the American news, then try watching an American source regarding international news and filter out everything that doesn't involve the US. The remaining content is about 0.1% of the total. Chinese international news not involving China is about 1% of the total or about 10x's better than the US. I never heard a reference to Canada on their news with one exception.

Most Chinese that I got to know well enough to raise the topic knew about it. But the circle I moved in, hung out with foreigners, which explains how they knew. My impression from talking to Chinese people who were knowledgeable about it is that most Chinese people know nothing about it.
