Why do people have to like Cheney?

I don't know, I don't particularly like the f****r but I don't really have a reason to dislike him, I need quite a bit of proof besides the news. I think we have enough losers in Canada without having to go looking abroad, not to mention at times it's just best to mind ones own business. I would trust our customs people at the border to make sure it was safe to let him cross (and make sure he checks any rifles and shotguns) and they probably checked to make damn sure he wouldn't be drawing welfare once he crossed. So why be an asshole about it?

Geez, don't get an ulcer over them. We ain't paying their pensions.

No I credit those 3 with starting a useless War in Iraq and all the blow back that came with it. Iraq is only steps away from being another proxy State for Iran. Many of the Shia in both countries, Govt leaders to use the term loosely are cut from the same bolt of cloth.

I think in hindsight, invading Iraq was a mistake, but I'd hesitate to call it a useless war as it did probably save 30,000 civilian lives at the hands of Saddam every year, not to mention the demise of him and his two heinous sons. As far as I know Iraq is now a democracy as opposed to a cruel dictatorship.

An excellent way to protest is to write a letter to the editor of the newspaper - not chaining yourself to a piece of logging equipment so the loggers lose pay and can't make their mortgage payment. It also helps a person's credibility if a protestor gets her/his facts straight. We don't know whether Cheney actually did any water boarding and if it was on the likes of the guys who flew the jets into the W.T.C. all the power to him. I feel sorry for the 2800 killed and their families..............I couldn't care less about terrorists.

writing letters usually gets one nowhere at all, and I stated that no one really knows all of the answers,
that goes for both sides, and the tree huggers also would have had no press or no attention brought to
them had they just written letters, which i'm sure they did.

I was not in favour of what they did either, but it is their right in this country, and I wouldn't take
that away from them ever.

People have looked stupid during all sorts of protests, but when it comes down to it, that is really
the only way they can bring some attention to their 'beef', as the government and corporations will
ignore them.
Had they done that in other parts of the world, they probably would have been killed, sure don't want
that kind of control by our government in this country.

Protesting is their right, but once they put their hands on other people's equipment, they've just violated their rights!
