He said he was both in a Popeye kinda way in John 8.So how is it that he's is God's only begotten son if it's him. Also, why does Jesus cry out for his father if he is fact his father and not his father's son?
You must have studied East Coast math:lol:The other 10% of the population that is (ab)normal then would be in the aforementioned groups?
You must have studied East Coast math:lol:
If 90% of the "normal" population are bracketed by those groups you mention, then it's logical that the other 10% of "normal" people are found in the bracketing groups you mentioned. Rules of logic don't change depending on the coast you're on...
He said he was both in a Popeye kinda way in John 8.
To paraphrase in the Popeye way "I am what I am and that's all that I Am I'm Yeshua the Yehweh Man". Toot-Toot!
Testament come from testamentum, the word by which the Latin ecclesiastical writers translated the Greek diatheke. With the profane authors this latter term means always, one passage of Aristophanes perhaps excepted, the legal disposition a man makes of his goods for after his death. However, at an early date, the Alexandrian translators of the Scripture, known as the Septuagint, employed the word as the equivalent of the Hebrew berith, which means a pact, an alliance, more especially the alliance of Yahweh with Israel. In St. Paul (1 Corinthians 11:25) Jesus Christ uses the words "new testament" as meaning the alliance established by Himself between God and the world, and this is called "new" as opposed to that of which Moses was the mediator. Later on, the name of testament was given to the collection of sacred texts containing the history and the doctrine of the two alliances; here again and for the same reason we meet the distinction between the Old and New Testaments. In this meaning the expression Old Testament (he palaia diatheke) is found for the first time in Melito of Sardis, towards the year 170. There are reasons for thinking that at this date the corresponding word "testamentum" was already in use amongst the Latins. In any case it was common in the time of Tertullian.
I find it quite humorous that the anti religion folks come here and hijack a thread in the Christian discussion forum. For the most part, it is the same ones that whine when the religious folks hijacks threads in the regular forums.
That was the flesh wondering if all the pain was worth it. Death of the flesh is how covenants are broken as explained by Paul.
It was the death of the flesh that initiated the New Covenant (Testament) over the Old Covenant (Testament) with the Jews who believed in Jesus
CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: New Testament
I'm not sure if it's "anti religion" so much as anti - repetitive trivia being rammed down the throats. There are a few of these Bible Thumpers who don't know when to shut up. Of course they have a right to be heard but let's just hear it ONCE.
I'm so sorry. I was unaware people were forcing you to come to the spirituality/religion section and "cramming this down your throat". Do they kick in your door and tie you up while they cram?
He was the message and the messenger. Not difficult to understand once you set aside rude questions, ignorant and offensive replies. Baiting and trolling as well.If we're all God's children, whats so special about Jesus?
I was raised Catholic. I am in no way a Christian anymore. It's a group of stories with zero historical actuality. Maybe you can take something from some of the stories, maybe not. I happen to think that it's a waste of time but whatever, if the discussion is about the philosophy of certain rules etc. than it can be constructive and somewhat fun but debating strictly whether religion is retarded or not is pointless. It's just like the 9/11 and GW crap. Nobody is going to convince the hard cores on any of those three things.
Now that's what I call Doubletalk
And where does anyone think that 90% of the pop is normal - Any clinical reports on that one? It's simple subtraction. I didn't reverse any meaning. It's how you wrote it, we have ninety percent of the population that is "normal"
There's a difference between saying ninety percent of the population is normal, and ninety percent of the population that is normal.
It's not doublespeak, but you could call me anal.
And ignorant replies add sweet fuk all now is that not correct - As i am also being as ignorant in my reply to you as was your post. Tell me, did it accomplish anything of a positive nature?
As to Historical Actuality - best read up on that before you make statements that are completely incorrect.
