Um well they could phone ahead???? No scramble necessary!
I think it's fine training however - no need to get rusty and dusty....

Northern Ontario,
My mistake, sorry. Wonder why they/someone made you destroy everyone? It was quite a impressive aircraft.
I worked with an engineer who had worked on that project....He sa id that he went to work one morning and everybody was told the project had been canned......
Why??? the way governments operate...one can only speculate:roll:

NORAD has already downplayed the incident saying there was no threat to Canadian airspace.

The only reason the jets were scarmbled is because Harper wants to look tough. In reality it is a joke. Unfortunately there are enough neo-cons up here who will buy into the hype.

Do the math.
From Cold lake to the "interception" is over 2000 km.
The maximum speed of the CF18 is 1814 km/h
Combat radius is 537 km
So where was the "Bear" when the jets were scrambled?
Hmmm
Too convenient for the PM's agenda.

Indeed, freakin hilarious, the way politicos make hay whether the sun is shining or not.

Now if the Ruskies were serious, they would send their stealth bombers, all nice and 21st century. Or a rocket. With a warhead.

BTW, it's 'maroon' and Bugs Bunny gave it to me. But you can use it.

With my post from yesterday about Putin chasing after whales, wrestling tigers, body slamming polar bears and Hikuta punching mooses...... I think Harper has a long way to go to try and look tough

Putin would crush Harper between his fingers like poony grape.

Veetal Kanadean Man, Mr. Harpoon, vill bee mai Bi'atch.

Northern Ontario,
It seems like the link I posted yesterday takes you to a different page today than it did yesterday....modified by the Toronto star at 18:00 a long time after I posted

There was very little mention of Harper yesterday, but today it's all about Harper......

Naah...The Toronto Star wouldn't have a Liberal bias:roll:

I was here at CC, when The Russians played this same game, while the Liberals were in office. I don't remember all this bluster over Chretien, Martin's comments on the event.

Oh well, some people need the smallest thing to play political hockey.

I guess that's what you do when you aren't trying to defend countless scandals and wide spread corruption in your preferred party. Simply a case of too much time on their hands.
