All I have ever heard out of Ontario is "our government is ruining our province" for the last 30 years. Ontarians should stop with the doom and gloom and help clean up the mess. "You reap what you sow" and Ontario has sown nothing but their own doom and gloom, so expect even more if ya don't change your tune.

Especially considering she and the current crop of Ontario Liberals are a major part of the problem. Gonna take a lot of introspection and quite frankly, the ol' Wynned Sock just isn't deep enough for that kind of thinking.
She has no problem with conflicts of interest. Well that's not entirely true. She has no problem with her OWN conflicts of interest or that of her party.
She is definitely a closet Conservative. She's only a Liberal when it comes to gender issues. Or things like the current refugee crisis because it plays to the leftist drones who think it's our job to solve everyone else's problems. Oh, also and when it comes to spending your money. I haven't yet met a Liberal who didn't firmly believe they know how to better spend your money than you do.

We have to wait almost 4 years to change our tune. The saying you have heard has only been true since 2003.

Mike Harris cleaned up the mess but McGuillicutty and the Dyke have ruined it again.

42 years of Conservative rule gave us a lot of spending like drunken sailors and waste - ie habitually over budget nuclear power projects with quarter century life spans and century-long mortgages. It's not all that hard to show you a grade separation and road relocation (dated 1961) over a railroad whose usefulness ceased with the building of the St Lawrence Seaway. Government has forgot its mandate of serving the people

You're daft. The ON debt at the end of that time was just over 30 billion. That took over 100 years to amass. In the few short years since the 42 yr PC rule ended that debt has grown almost tenfold to just under 300 billion even with Mike Harris slowing down it's growth for a few years. ON now has the largest non-sovereign public debt in the entire world all because of Liberal and NDP policies.

Nother kick to the 'nads Walleye? Some grip on the value of a dollar you have there when you don't account for inflation - and your company blindness still doesn't account for money tossed about in wasteful manner. Cry as you like about Rae. He worked with what he had. Maybe that's the part you find offensive.

Actually he worked a lot with what he didn't have hist first couple of years. Then when he completely overspent he raised taxes and did cutbacks to try to keep things not completely out of control. Nice guy but a poor premier. However, still lock stock and barrel better than the current Dark Overlord.

True, in his first few years he had to contend with a party who didn't think Rae leaned left enough - proof that you can't please everyone. In his last year in office he (along with all the provinces) had to work with Martin's shortchange budget. Funny how Harris did the same thing to municipalities yet is lauded as a hero to the narrow-minded set - especially after doing exactly the opposite in his plot to make Ontario Hydro a revenue generator. McGuilty and Wynnebag went further and took big advantage of the open door and the broken safeguards that once existed in the utility.

Harris continued to cut what he had to to balance the budget thanks to Martin. I actually thought Rae's last couple years in office were his better ones. Harris gets positive marks from me for cutting taxes and stimulating the economy. We enjoyed good times economically with Harris. I would not call him a hero since IMHO no politician is a hero.

Northern Ontario,
After his stint as Premier he was on the board of directors at hydro one and Tembec for his help in brokering the deal to buy Spruce falls while he was Premier...He only quit his director's job at Tembec in 2006 dunno when he left Hydro one

Hey! I'm the only Dark Overlord around here! Think of another name for that creature!;)
