If you don't know wtf you're targeting..... don't attack it.... it's pretty basic logic even for the stupid out there in the world.

This wasn't a mistake, this was stupidity. It was a school, where else do civilians have to go besides schools, churches, hospitals and their own homes to avoid the fighting in Gaza?

Nowhere, because even those places are being shelled to sh*t.

This is a blaitent slaughter.

I have heard of at least two UN Schools being shelled by Israel since last night..... you'd think they would have perhaps changed their tactics like sending in a small recon to areas where civilians would be hiding to confirm if they should attack or not...... but no, they're just lowly palestinians, might as rid the world of them right?

I love how people here who support Israel like to keep using the Hamas as an excuse for their actions and claiming that this is what Hamas wanted....... yet where are all the dead Hamas soldiers?

All I keep hearing about are hundreds of civilians being killed by Israel.

I ain't got a lick of sympathy for Israel and every troop of theirs that dies from this war..... they have it coming and I say good.

Baloney

Hamas regularly uses innocents as human shields.....no militants found dead or wounded? Not much wonder, all you have to do is carry off a dead body's AK and ammo and he is suddenly an "innocent civilian"

Hamas is an Islamo-fascist group bent on the destruction of Israel and the elimination of Jewry. It is backed by Iran and Syria.

Israel is a democratic free state, backed by the USA, our closest ally.

The fact you would choose to support our natural enemies rather than our natural friends......well, why?

BTW, today Hamas rejected the idea of a supervised truce on the grounds that no international peace-keeping force "to protect Israel" would be accepted.

Idiots.

...and Israel has sucessfully wiped Palestine from the map and is now intent on getting rid of the evidence it ever existed by eliminating Palestinians.

UNRWA has done their own investigation and they are saying with 99.9% certainty their were no militants in this school.

UNRWA statement:

YouTube - U.N. Official: Exposes the Israeli "human shield" lie

UNRWA has demanded Israel show proof that gunmen were in the school. So far all Israel has said is that their soldiers witnessed a secondary explosion, which even if true may or may not indicate the presence of weapons. It could also indicate the presence of fuel ie; a car... I noticed some Israeli statements are now saying militants were near the school, rather than in the school.
"Bring it on": UN demands Israel provide proof of claims gunmen were in school

Bethlehem – Ma’an/Agencies – The UN is demanding that Israel provide evidence for its claims that Palestinian gunmen fired on Israeli forces from a UN school compound in northern Gaza before an Israeli artillery attack that killed more than 40 Palestinian civilians.

"We have nothing to hide," UNRWA spokesperson Chris Gunness told CNN on Wednesday. "Bring it on. We want to see the evidence. We want to clear any suspicion."

According to the UN, Israeli artillery shells exploded at the front gate of the compound. The UN has categorically denied that any armed men were in the school at the time.

UNRWA is using its schools to provide shelter to some 14,000 Palestinians who have fled the Israeli military campaign in Gaza. The agency, dedicated to providing relief to Palestinian refugees, said it gave the GPS coordinates of all UN installations to Israel long before the current conflict.

Three other clearly marked UN facilities also came under attack on Monday and Tuesday.

Maan News Agency

UNRWA gave coordinates of the school to the IDF. It has UN flags outside and is clearly marked as a school.

Colpy since you are so certain militants were in the school, perhaps you should contact UNRWA with your evidence that has led you to believe that this wasn't an IDF frack-up.

EAO, Israel hasn't "wiped Palestine off the map"

Israel is palestine, it is the state that came into being when non-palestinians annexed palestinian land (the west bank and gaza)

Kindly explain how the why Israelis can no longer claim the mantle of palestinians they have held for ages.

Surely your insistance isn't that the children of immigrants can't claim their birth land is their own?

You always claim Palestine is gone while forgetting Israel IS Palestine.

You mean the people who are dead? Or their descendants, like the Israeli citizens involved in this campaign of shooting, starving and bombing because they also don't like rockets falling on their houses? The ones who aren't Jewish yet are still full Israeli citizens?

If he is 16 or older= HAMAS
Female or under 16= human shield
Yes Colpy-We know the lie and you are always right

Hamas is an Islamo-fascist group bent on the destruction of Israel and the elimination of Jewry. It is backed by Iran and Syria.

I don't know why you bring Iran and Syria into this. I don't see Palestinians armed with Iranian Tanks, anti-tank equipment, effective missiles--do you?

Everyone wants to destroy Israel BUT Israel is the only one destroying over the last half century and occupying--- Islamo-FASCIST--Nazi was too blatant

Israel is a democratic free state, backed by the USA, our closest ally.

So what? The USA is our neighbour. Hydro goes to the USA and sold back to us. Oil pipeline goes into the USA before it reaches our industrial province of Ontario
Simon USA says and Canada does-so shove that one--

The fact you would choose to support our natural enemies rather than our natural friends......well, why?

The Palestinians are our natural enemies! Jews are our natural friends!
Israel is wrong although Israel has different perception. A natural friend Eh?--What a dumb comment. Natural friend!

BTW, today Hamas rejected the idea of a supervised truce on the grounds that no international peace-keeping force "to protect Israel" would be accepted.

Yep...Then I'ld bomb it again or look for another one to lob some hot rounds on. But then again, I'm not naive enough to believe everything the Hamas media machine spins out.

Next contest in these Forums is to guess how many times Colpy has repeated this. Is it a chant or something?

It could be worse, he could be cutting and pasting five hundred word paragraphs that say the same thing over and over again. At least he's being concise and typing it himself. Gotta give vredit for that.

Israel finally admits the girl's school attack was an unintentional mistake and that they weren't attacked by militants in the school.

First Israel tried to use old footage of militants firing from a Gaza school along with their story about militants firiong on them.

Check out this propaganda:
IDF: Hamas Used UN School to Fire Mortars

by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

(IsraelNN.com) Hamas fired mortar shells from a United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) school in Jabalya before the IDF retaliated with aerial bombing that killed Hamas terrorists as well as children, according to an initial IDF investigation.

"Amongst the dead at the Jabalya school were Hamas terror operatives and a mortar battery cell who were firing on IDF forces in the area," the IDF said. "We face a very delicate situation where the Hamas is using the citizens of Gaza as a protective vest," according to IDF spokesman Brig. General Avi Benayahu.

The military said that it appeared "a number of mortar shells were fired at IDF forces from within the Jabalya school. In response to the incoming enemy fire, the forces returned mortar fire to the source." The IDF added that most probably a secondary explosion from explosives within the building added to the destruction.

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/129264

But the Israel propaganda had too many holes and it quickly sunk. (The images were of a different school for example.)

UNRWA challenged them, saying the video accompanying the story is old footage from over a year ago of militants using a school UNRWA says they abandoned and then was subsequently taken over by the militants.

Caught in a blatant lie, Israel has now admitted the shelling was an error and unintentional. There were no militants in or near the school.

From Haaretz:
UNRWA: Army admitted bombed school did not harbor militants
By Barak Ravid and Akiva Eldar
The United Nations is claiming Israeli military officers have admitted the tank firing on the UNRWA school in Gaza, in which dozens of Palestinians were killed, was an error.

In addition, UNRWA yesterday announced it will cease activities in the Strip due to the death of an UNRWA staffer in an IDF shelling during yesterday morning's humanitarian hiatus.

UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness told Haaretz yesterday that the army had conceded wrongdoing. "In briefings senior [Israel Defense Forces] officers conducted for foreign diplomats, they admitted the shelling to which IDF forces in Jabalya were responding did not originate from the school," Gunness said. "The IDF admitted in that briefing that the attack on the UN site was unintentional."

He noted that all the footage released by the IDF of militants firing from inside the school was from 2007 and not from the incident itself. "There are no up-to-date photos," Gunness said. "In 2007, we abandoned the site and only then did the militants take it over."

UNRWA is now demanding an objective investigation into whether the school shelling constituted a violation of international humanitarian law.

The UN reported yesterday that a Palestinian working for UNRWA was killed by an IDF tank shell while driving a well-marked aid truck at the Erez border crossing and the incident took place during the humanitarian hiatus in fighting slated to allow Gaza residents to acquire supplies.

What can I say? $hit happens in a war zone.

But Israeli apologists who support killing innocent children have now been exposed. I'm not sure I'd trust you to babysit children.

Another source reporting Israel has admitted there were no militants in the compound:

Israelis admit militants not in UN school
The UN said last night that the Israeli military had privately admitted that the shelling of a UN school in Jabaliya which killed more than 40 Palestinians on Tuesday was in response to militant fire from outside, not inside, the UN compound.

After the attack, the Israeli military said an initial inquiry had shown that several mortar shells had been fired at Israeli forces "from within the Jabaliya school" and that Israeli forces had returned fire.

However, a UN spokesman yesterday said the military had admitted that this account was no longer accurate. "In private briefings with diplomats the Israeli army has admitted that the militant fire from Jabaliya did not come from within a UN compound but outside and therefore allegations that this fire came from inside our compound are completely baseless," said Chris Gunness, spokesman for UNWRA.

Last night, the Israel Defence Force, stood by its initial account."The source of the fire was from within the school compound and that we returned fire and we have intelligence information that we hit the actual mortar firing squad that was firing at us," said Captain Benjamin Rutland, an Israeli military spokesman.

Earlier yesterday, John Ging, director of operations in Gaza for UNRWA, visited the school himself."I am very confident now that there was no militant activity inside the school nor militants in the school. If anybody has evidence to the contrary, then let's bring it forward."

I guess that's why we hit the ground running in Iraq. Um.. Sorry, we didn't get sucked into Iraq like the brits.

With allies like them, we're treading water in the deep end

It's a chant. If you say it over and over a million times, some people actually believe it

Do you have any idea how hypocritical your being? You call down the term "natural ememies" (people who purposely target innocent civilians, and use their own innocent people as shields, like Hamas) and then you use the term yourself, stating the only real "natural enemy" are the jews.
