I have the utmost respect for the Canadian Armed Forces. I mean, a country cannot be considered sovereign without a method by which to defend its sovereignty, and a nation cannot be considered safe unless there is someone to guarantee that safety. We are lucky in Canada, to have such a dedicated force willing to fight to the death to protect Canada, the principles of our constitution and our people.

P.S.

My job is to be used by the Government. I'm a number and expendable. That's something I accepted when I joined the Army.

THAT IS PURE CRAP

You're welcome :)

and dont be so quick to denegrate the intelligent people who might actually save your life rather than let you be USED to serve other than canadian interests

An intelligent person would understand the merits of respecting the men and women who serve their nation. While a soldier doesn't by any means deserve to be idolized, they should at least be respected for the work they do, work that often goes unnoticed by the general populace.

what is this bs that you serve the county any more than
ANYONE ELSE

I have never said I serve the Country more. However a soldier does serve it in a way that no one else does. He willing puts his life up for auction to further his nation. In my books, it doesn't get much more noble than that.

you could send all your troops over seas and your security would be fine, since the usa takes care of most oof it anyway

Thus proving you don't know very much, especially about NORAAD.

Please go away until you learn something.

This is the reason that the previous Government of Canada, during the Thirty-seventh Parliament, refused to enter into the ballistic missile defence program; the government would have been denied access to facilities on Canadian soil which, as I would agree, the Right Honourable Jean Chrétien, P.C., M.P., and the government of the time, thought would be an unacceptable practice, and not in the interest of Canada.

yea but by not entering ballistic missile defence program you lost all power to make decsions when and where to shoot a missile a down. canada will change its mind soon enough about the program anyway iam sure of it
