I didn't threaten to kill you there at all....unless i'm your father....well....there was that one time that your mom had that bottle of wine and....hehe i'll stop there. Anyway I simply suggested your father would have had recourse to bludgeon you to death if you were born in ancient Rome. I found it funny, i'm friggin hilarious man. \

With regard to the cabby being shot in 'ghan. That is a tragedy, however it was his own fault. When we drive around Afghanistan we hang signs from our vehicles that say "Stay back 30 meters" in both English and Pushtan. What respectable Army would allow vehicles to come right up beside their vehicles in a region known for suicide bombers? The cabby was a moron that failed to obey the sign. He died. Thinning out the herd. Anywho I'm glad you wouldn't kill Jay though, he's a nice guy.

shortmanx5, whether or not it is warranted, I think you would find that Canadians generally tend to support a mission more where it is seen as being in the nation's own interest, and that of the target country, as opposed to painting Canada as a sort of "lapdog" of the United States.

An intelligent person would understand the merits of respecting the men and women who serve their nation. While a soldier doesn't by any means deserve to be idolized, they should at least be respected for the work they do, work that often goes unnoticed by the general populace.
