Dear Karrie since you are so aware of these eyewitness accounts --point out a few that make sense out. Too difficult for you--can't find them in the posts--Once people are told 4 million and then that is reduced to 1.5 million There is a problem with common knowledge that has been gospel for half a century.
common knowledge says more than 6 million... upwards of 10 million people... died during the Holocaust. It all depends on what groups you're discussing. So if a number changes from 4 million victims to 1.5, I have no idea if the victim group being discussed has changed, or what the definition being used for 'victim' is (victim if you're in a camp or victim if you're dead?)
I could care less about researching it einmensch. You feel free to come up with some valid post that doesn't smack of German denial. I doubt you can. You certainly haven't come up with one credible looking post yet.

The number of Jews and other people who perished in the holocaust isn't an absolute number. Its a statistical estimate based on the evidence. Its similar to the statistical estimate that about 1.2 million people have died violently as a result of the US led Iraq invasion:

I am specifically referring to the PLAQUE at Auschwitz which until 1990 read 4 million were murdered here. In 1990 it was changed to read 1.5 million were murdered here. The Auschwitz Death Books <-(records kept by Auschwitz staff ) released by Russia indicate 175,000 died there of all causes.

My mothr's side came from Bohemia and my Dad's from Bratislava--I speak German but a dialect and converse better in Yiddisch than High German. Many North Germans consider people like me as lesser and they let you know- In the 50s we knew and worked with many yiddisch speaking Jews--I never found the hate in Kesington Market that a few other brilliant self-announced fanatics evidence. The only time in those years that I ever heard the gass stories was at Mauthausen in 1953. WHERE ALL the gassing equipment had been removed by Germans because they didn't have anything better to do, --just like everywhere else, before it was liberated

Einmensch: Do you believe the Holocaust didn't happen (Nazis detained and exterminated people because they were deemed by the state to be undesirable) or are you just trying to debate the scale of the holocaust? If its the former, you really are in denial. I can post a lot of evidence from objective sources which prove the holocaust did indeed happen. If its the latter, I'd like to hear your opinion regarding scale... My research on this subject leads me to believe that the scale of this historical atrocity, (like many others) can only be estimated with an accuracy based on statistical probability.
