I was at a friend's house and as a couple of l'il old ladies, we don't really care much about sports. But I said, "Hey, let's turn the TV to CTV and see what happened with the hockey game."
Welp, it was in the last couple of minutes of the OT and when that final goal was scored we were jumping up and down and hollering, "Woo Hoo!" Then the joy of watching the people in the arena and the bar in NS and people on the streets just had us in tears.
In a time where cities are falling down and people are dying needlessly and the world is so full of sorrow, it was so wonderful to feel such glee, and pride to be where we are.
Awesome. :canada:
