The media didn't put Jones into office. The voters did.

So your theory is that a Democrat and media conspiracy convinced voters that Roy Moore was a pedophile and this influenced them into voting in Doug Jones. In other words, people believed the allegations and had to choose between a pedophile senator and a pro-choice senator. Enough people decided that being a pedophile was worse, so it was a referendum on morality by your own crackpot theory.

There was a 40% turnout of the electorate for this election. Full slate congressional and Presidential elections draw up ot 60% or more.

It's true that Democrats managed to rev up their voters more than the Republicans. And the mud slinging and hatchet job aimed at Moore likely suppressed his vote. But you cannot draw any conclusions about the moral choices of Alabamans from this. You can only state the sordid state of American culture has simply eviscerated\ moral conscience of a large portion of the electorate.

Again Moore was not a 'pedophile'. He was a moral Christian man who has courageously stood for Life and sanity against Culture of Death hack candidates like Doug Jones.

You're really straining to not make this about morality. You know, you could still be a Christian fascist and admit people voted on morality. All you have to say is that they were deceived.

Your argument that people didn't vote on their morals only takes the result of that morality another step.

You say Democrats were motivated and Republicans stayed home because of the negative press surrounding Moore. But why were Democrats motivated? Because they believed Moore was a pedophile. What was the negative press surrounding Moore that kept Republicans home? That he was a pedophile. Why wouldn't they come out in support of Moore if they didn't believe the press?

It's like saying lung cancer, not smoking, killed a guy who died of lung cancer he got smoking. Or the expression it's not the fall that kills you but the sudden stop at the end. You're missing the point.

A 14 year-old girl is a child. That's pedophilia.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've always thought pedophilia pertains to sexual activity with a person who is biologically immature physically (a child) and is NOT determined by age.

I think morality probably goes out the window as soon as you try to impose sexual activity where it is not wanted!

A well-known women’s rights lawyer sought to arrange compensation from donors and tabloid media outlets for women who made or considered making sexual misconduct allegations against Donald Trump during the final months of the 2016 presidential race, according to documents and interviews.

California lawyer Lisa Bloom’s efforts included offering to sell alleged victims’ stories to TV outlets in return for a commission for herself, arranging a donor to pay off one Trump accuser’s mortgage and attempting to secure a six-figure payment for another woman who ultimately declined to come forward after being offered as much as $750,000, the clients told The Hill.

The women’s accounts were chronicled in contemporaneous contractual documents, emails and text messages reviewed by The Hill, including an exchange of texts between one woman and Bloom that suggested political action committees supporting Hillary Clinton were contacted during the effort.

Bloom, who has assisted dozens of women in prominent harassment cases and also defended film executive Harvey Weinstein earlier this year, represented four women considering making accusations against Trump last year. Two went public, and two declined.

In a statement to The Hill, Bloom acknowledged she engaged in discussions to secure donations for women who made or considered making accusations against Trump before last year’s election.
