Actually I think there are the same number of right wingers (stupid f**king term) in Canada now as there were a week ago.

I can see where this is going already. Ditch the F35, pay penalties that are far beyond the cost of the F35. Complain that Harper has left them little choice, but to increase taxes and go after the middle class. Then, we'll have to gut the military and saving face we'll send them on Peacekeeping Missions where they will still be killed, but the odds will increase because they'll be ill equipped.

Dejavu man. Dejavu.

I want my state sponsored pot.

This election proved that Canadians care about more than the economy.

No sunny. heh, that's punny.

anyway kid, it demonstrates that those almost 4 in 10 that voted for pony are ignorant about the economy and too apathetic to learn about it.

that these low information voters like getting bribed with their own money (and don't care about monthly revolving interest rate charges).

It also shows how easily the media party can manipulate, court and date the masses (with help from the American special interest trolls) with shiny happy hipster wurds.

just people who prop up capitalism.

i don't value wealth very highly to be honest. if i was a billionaire i would never live like one. i'd probably give most of my wealth away to homeless shelters or something.

So you think that because you are an idiot other people should be as well?

i don't know what the hell a person needs a billion, or even a million dollars for to be honest.

there was an experiment done where it was shown after a salary of 70k, a person's happiness started to stagnate.

70g would be a bad year indeed. That would tend to make one unhappy.

I get a kick out of Liberals. I've been listening to the CTV and CBC for the last two days and their repetition about ''Justin Trudeau's historic landslide victory.'' I recall the days following Stephen Harper's victory, when every second comment on CBC.Ca and other leftist news sites was something about ''Stephen Harper got a majority yet 60% of Canadians voted against him.'' Lets take a look at a few numbers.

1: In 1958, John Diefenbaker and the Progressive Conservatives took 208 seats out of the 265. Highest majority ever won.

2: In 1982, Brian Mulroney took 211 seats out of the 282 seats, the most seats ever won by a party.

3: In 2011, Stephen Harper won a 166 seat majority that left the Liberals in 3rd place with only 34 seats and the NDP as official opposition with 103 seats. Harper took 166 out of 308 seats.

4: Trudeau took 184 seats out of 338. Is that not the same ratio as 166 out of 308?

5: Popular vote: 2011, Stephen Harper 39.6%. 2015: Justin Trudeau 39.5%

Question: Where is the landslide?? Oh--and by the way--John A. Macdonald won five consecutive majority victories defeating the Liberals every time. Then he died. Now that is a landslide!

Why did they lose so many seats this time? Nobody wants NDP, the voter proved that by showing them to the House door.

Bye bye stir fry!

I find the situation a little confusing. My first thought is that N.D.P. is only attractive to a hard core of about 30% of voters except in extraordinary circumstances, one of them being Jack Layton. However had the election this time been held in mid Sept, I think a result similar to Layton's was certainly possible. Perhaps at that time both Harper and Justin didn't seem like viable alternatives. One thing for certain, we can never be sure. :) Notley's win in AB is certainly out of character too. Do you think a full moon fits into the situation somehow?:)

Oh heck no. Even with this election Canada just moved slightly left of far right compared to the US.
Really now? So when did the US legalize gay marriage? When did the US bring in gun control? How long was it that Americans couldn't vacation in Cuba? How many religious nutbags hold important govt positions in Canada? When are you going to have actual universal health care?
Even our previous right-wing PM refused to reopen any debate on gay marriage or abortion. Even when one of his backbenchers brought up gay marriage he essentially said that as far as he was concerned, Canadians had spoken up and out about the issue and that the subject was closed.

Really now? So when did the US legalize gay marriage?
This year. Earlier in many states.

When did the US bring in gun control?
1881.

How long was it that Americans couldn't vacation in Cuba?
Americans could always vacation there.

How many religious nutbags hold important govt positions in Canada?
You tell me. Are there any important government positions in Canada?

When are you going to have actual universal health care?
When they dump Obamacare and give it back to the states.

Even our previous right-wing PM refused to reopen any debate on gay marriage or abortion. Even when one of his backbenchers brought up gay marriage he essentially said that as far as he was concerned, Canadians had spoken up and out about the issue and that the subject was closed.

Yes really!

We have legal gay marriage and gun control. What you did and what is now are two different issues.

When is Canada going to get rid of it's voter ID Laws? When is Canada going to get rid of it's oppressive immigration laws? When is Canada going to provide wicked awesome benefits for illegal and legal immigrants?

Abortion! Ha! We SELL baby parts here! We can jam spikes in their heads and strangle them if sh*t doesn't go right.

Our states are allowing recreational weed selling already. It is still illegal in Canada.

We let tens of thousands of illegal and legal immigrants in... Canada has their doors shut tight!

And Cuba.... that was the old US... soon we will flood their cities. We will come like the stars to that country.

And your health care is in shambles! Your health care doesn't make you more progressive than ours. We have Obamacare brah! Now that is some real progressive health care. Obama is so far left of Justin.

Our so called "nutbags" are neutered.

In America...If some guy feels like a woman he can march right in the ladies room and take a dump. Then he can walk out and feel like a man again. Canadians have no concept of that stuff! Conservative right wingers!

Canada is far more conservative.
