This should be the kind of sustainable economy the entire country has.

B.C. economy booming despite energy sector woes

Do you know why BC is booming? Thanks to ActionPlan and the AP Gateway investment to build ports that can move the goods and resources from the rest of western canada. The port from the 1800s weren' cutting the mustard nor was the 1940's infrastructure surrounding them.

All shiny new now and all done rght under your nose.

How did you miss that?

Do you enjoy just making **** up?

So where did all the money come from? De Jong said the surge in revenue came largely from taxes, with provincial sales tax revenues (up $322 million), property transfer taxation (up $128 million) and the corporate income tax (up $208 million) all providing dividends. In total, tax revenue increased from $899 million when compared to Budget 2014 forecasts. Stronger net-earnings from self-supported Crown corporations also contributed to the surplus, de Jong said, and helped off-set an $18-million decrease in natural resource revenues.

B.C. budget surplus paves way for ‘modest’ incentives

You should take note of that last part.

You'll be reminded about it over and over again in the next few months in reference to why the federal plan isn't working.

BC is lucky women wont use toilet paper that isn't extra thick and soft.

Try reading it again.

You need to know what has being going on right under you nose for 15 years for companies and people have contracts to build and people have jobs building this. This is the biggest project since the railway hit Vancouver almost 150 years ago.

Regulated, the free market and capitalism is the only hope humanity has to correct the environmental problems we have today and to ensure prosperity, health and well being for all people on the planet in the future. Unregulated it is a destructive force.

Spills should NOT happen ever. Properly regulated, constructed and maintained a pipeline should be trouble free. Would you accept that nuclear reactors should be tolerated to meltdown periodically?

I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but I'm wondering if there's a slight chance this leak happened accidently on purpose! :)

Yes there is definitely a possibility of nefarious intent here.

Are we going into tinfoil mode now?

Because the timing of this was precariously close to the premiers pipeline deal.

Tinfoil never entered my mind but similar incidents near Dawson Creek a year or so ago did!

Isn't it supposed to be this summer that all the FNs across Canada rise-up and stick it to da man?

Maybe he's off leading the charge or something

That was a couple years back now they are idling some more.

The dope crop needs bucket brigades this summer. Cliff will back from watering anytime now.

I realized that trying to educate those blinded by greed is a colossal waist of time. They can all go choke on tar sands.

The policy that reflects the current economic status of that province is not the one that incurred them that prior debt.

That's true. It has taken us this long to recover from the damage the NDP did in the 90s. The really odd part is that the left has fought every step of the way to prevent us from getting to this point.

Does that mean you are willing to give up your government cheque?

Yeah, they figure they can cure dropsy and heart fever by throwing money at it. :)
