Even the potheads have a platform that is nationwide. If you want to sit in the Federal Govt (federation is all 13 bodies) then by golly you need to run in all provinces or at least TRY!

Bloody deadbeats.

You do realize that 'potheads', i.e. Marc Emery, probably couldn't win more than a handful of seats? Even if they did a mass appeal to young voters, chances are said voters would sleep through the vote.

Who cares? It's still national and geared towards all of Canada. They don't think they are special and aren't a hinderence to the national economy. Arrogance doesn't put food on the table or encourage foreign invesment. How many more decades do they plan being on the national teat? If you want me to pay for your welfare move here. If you want to work. Move here. When Doucebagette come here with a bus full of flunkies and offers to stand up for me and my province and my nation then at least they've made an effort to be part of Canada and not just a cash vaccum.

If the people of Saskatchewan need more w hores and hockey players we'll call Manitoba.

$40 million a DAY. New markets in Asia. Less dependence on the USA to buy our oil.

Worth the risk, in my books.

Easy to say when it's not your community or livlihood at risk. Big difference between LNG and crude oil. If LNG is spilled, it won't spread over the water and coat everything. It will evaporate.

One of the groups campaigning for a real ban has a little toy model on their website of impacts from potential oil spills in the area:

What are the plans for the transport of oil on those roadways/railways that are in proximity to the coastal waters or along rivers/creeks that feed into the ocean?

It would be interesting to see a similar model that provides a good visualization of the effects of dumping massive amounts of raw sewage into the oceans.

Don't worry, there's crude oil, too:

The refinery here in Saint John runs 280,000 bbl/day, and all of the crude comes in supertankers, except for what I believe is one tractor trailer a week (or is it one per day) from a NewBrunswick well.

Ezra Levant is Canada's Glen Beck, lol
or Alex Jones since Beck is a Jones clone.

LNG will freeze the water it is spilled on and can and does indeed mix to a point. If the ship sank rather than just a spill then there is indeed massive hell to pay on environment. If it were sour then H2S would kill above and below the surface en mass.

I know of couple places in West SK that you can light water on fire.

The Bankers do not care who we vote for. Guess why? Alright I'll tell ya, because they control the money. So have fun thinking that your vote is meaningful. Government is far too important to be left to the brain dead electorate. Of course there are more than enough idiots who do not believe this and can be counted on to rubber stamp the banker approved prick of their choice. Isn't it strange that all of Canadas elected federal boot lickers love and protect the genocidal state of Israel. What does soveirgnty mean in the twentyfirst?

We lost soverignty decades ago. As we speak Canadian Border Service Agency is negotiating with the Homeland Security to handle all border traffic going both north and south.

In other words no more CBSA
This needs it's own thread.

I agree, but only on condition that no Isradians are reading this. You misspelled soveringty. That is how I know it is safe to talk to you. There sure is a lot of Canadian deals being done behind closed doors, in some other country. Homeland Security, the term makes me want to puke.

American's need jobs and Canada needs the labour. The exodus will begin very soon. I hope they are quick to pick up the language.

Yep, the Liberal, NDP, Bloc coalition is on the move.........and Canada is in trouble. God forbid we ever elect these guys.....

Liberals, NDP, Bloc gang up on Alberta - Ezra Levant

We really do need a Harper majority next time.....I fear any other resolution will result in these guys taking power.

That would be an absolute disaster for this nation.

You can keep on saying we need a lunatic-Harper majority all you want, it still doesn't make you right.

"Oil tankers sail down the coast of B.C. every day bringing oil from Alaska to the lower 48 United States. You’d have to conquer the U.S. navy to stop that."

If they're in our waters, we have every damn right to stop them.

This has a lot more to do with the US and their dismal track record for safety and proper guidelines to ensure the safety of the environment and local businesses that rely on those waters, such as fishermen.

Why bother bringing up more crap about what we export or import? We can oversee our regulations and guidelines regarding safety and environmental impact..... at the very least, they're our responsibility.

The US and their oil they ship across our waters is out of our hands, we have no control over how crappy, run down or un-safe their tankers and such are..... and if something happens and they spill oil around our waters, guess what?

We gotta clean it up..... WE have to deal with the fall out.

Therefore, until it can be determined that the US's guidelines are up to snuff and meet OUR expectations, this is the best approach there is in regards to protecting our lands, our waters and our people's way of life.

But hey, you can try and spin it anyway that makes you feel better about yourself.

I think you should trade in your Conservative-Rose Coloured Glasses so you can actually see what's really going on in the world.

But then, I suppose hard-line, blinded support for the Conservatives is more important to you then the well being of our nation and it's lands/oceans.

Ahhh....you should read up on the law of the sea.

All ships have right of passage through any seas over three nautical miles from the coast. we do NOT have the right to limit their passage past that point.

The Americans, as a gesture of good faith and neighbourliness (lol) after the Exxon Valdez disaster, keep a completely voluntary distance of 25 nautical miles.

Oh dear. That is funny. Although it may have been 2/5ths. LOL

Hey, BTW, don't they have coalitions in Italy? And other backward countries?

yeah, that was funny....

As for Coalitions, they sure do! And if you want to be convinced of the unwise nature of the beast, take a look at Italian politics.....even without a party dedicated to the destruction of the nation.

Most of it will vapourize.

And agricultural run-off. Google "algae blooms sewage satellite" and have a look at the visualizations we can observe without models.
